This may be easier to read: letter from Perryville inmate Shawna Forde regarding #jodiarias
(Shawna Forde must be rather bored on Death Row)
Forgive me for the skeptic I am...
Is there really a Shawna Forde in Perryville?
What did she do to earn this room and board?
The handwriting looks to be that of JA... but written with her RIGHT hand and intentionally adding a slant.
I will have to thumb back and check out her other penned work...
Syntax seems to be JA all the way but with a revers slant in the ideas communicated.
BBM - I tend to agree with this. I know nothing about handwriting analysis, but here's what I see. The backward slant is not consistent (slips towards the vertical then to the right, then back to backwards again). Especially on page 2, in the paragraph starting with "What I found interesting".
There are a lot of similarities with CMJA's handwriting in this document: http://twitdoc.com/view.asp?id=94223&sid=20PB&ext=PDF&lcl=JA-Letter-from-Jodi-to-Judge-re-Nurmi-Motion-to-Withdraw.pdf&usr=zou2&doc=139833553&key=key-2gxotllz9sge8erm21fo
Part of that image here (the part with her full name written out):
Capital letters are much larger than lowercase letters; the lowercase t's are crossed fairly low; even her full name appears similar. The only major difference I can see is uppercase I (I vs. l).
For me, the biggest issue with this letter is the contradictory information in it. It says CMJA is isolated and not allowed to communicate with inmates. So how did "Shawna" talk to her about the statement she gave at sentencing? Makes no sense. Sounds like one of CMJA's typical lies.

Re: Jodi Arias--Trial for the murder of Travis Alexander #30
Thanks, MyLife. I was actually going to go and look her up on google.
While I did not recall her name, I vaguely remember the case.
It has been a long time ago! Sorry about that....
SF is one very dangerous person with a cavalier attitude.
Maybe, AZ can free a cell up and actually do what the jury recommended?
Rereading my earlier comment:
First, I don't put anything past JA!! Nothing at all!!!
I could see SF penning the letter.
The writing appears much like JA but it is probably that of SF...
Something sounds screwy in the letter... it may just be SF is screwy as JA is!
Interesting read and I appreciate your sharing it.

CP:
Been years since I dabbled in handwriting.
The (unintentional or natural) flipping of slant:
This is an emotionally unstable person.
A person who writes tilted to the left margin is usually a person who is withdrawn at the time of the writing. The more drastic the back slant, the more harmful they are to self;
A person who writes tilted to the right margin is usually an extrovert and is "leaning" out toward others.
Any slant that "falls over" is regarded as harmful to either self or others based upon the direction of the slant...
Adolf Hitler is an extreme and easy example.
His writing from the 1930s tilted drastically to the right.
In the last few years of his life, the writing was terribly slanted to the point of twisting under on his name.
Copybook writing is the hardest to work with.
This people have perfect writing and are consistent in letter formation and slant.
Year after year...
Mostly, these are extreme perfectionists...
JA's handwriting DOES show she has artistic ability.
Sadly, she has stopped her artistic expression with copying the art work of others...
Both JA and SF do not loop the tails of letters F, G, Y.
How it is looped would disclose sexual preference and satisfaction.
Left unlooped it says, "None of your business whether I prefer male or female!"
Not looped at the base line would indicate not sexually satisfied but then again there may be no desire, either.
Interesting considering they are in an all female prison and JA is in isolation.... as I would imagine SF is in isolation, too.

@Freckles and @ CP,
This is an interesting analysis, Freckles. JA handwriting is quite consistent in slant (or lack of), IMO. The purported SF letter is continually changing in the direction and degree of slant and does not seem as "neat" as the sample from JA. If JA actually "faked" a letter from SF to make her points to the outside world then JA is going to be in a whole world of hurt inside Perryville. I don't think a sweet little thing like SF would be very happy about that.
CP, there is a noticeable difference in the uppercase "A" as well. JA consistently makes a sharply pointed "A" and SF varies between a rounded top "A" and a sharply pointed "A" with an extra line leading into the letter. However, I don't doubt the possibility that this could be a forgery on JA's part. We know that she is certainly not above forging things. I'm no handwriting expert, but, I think this is actually SF needing a little attention from the outside world as I doubt that she gets much. Also, I'm not sure that JA would describe her appearance as being "average" and having "crooked teeth". IMO, the many, many pictures that JA took of herself in the free world tells me that JA believes that she is not simply "average". The fact that she smiles in many photos tells me that she is not overly bothered by her teeth not being straight. So, did she or didn't she? Who knows?

#JodiArias appellate attorney Tennie b Martin. Representing the State, Atty-Joseph Maziarz.
I just came across this link on Websleuths about the attorney representing the State:
https://www.azag.gov/press-release/assistant-attorney-general-joseph-maziarz-honored
Maziarz has served as Unit Chief Counsel since 1991. He has represented the State of Arizona as an appellate prosecutor in more than 500 appeals in state and federal courts. He has argued more than 50 cases in the Arizona Supreme Court, the Arizona Court of Appeals and the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. His cases have resulted in an extraordinary 101 published appellate court opinions.
Maziarz successfully defended the State in many high-profile cases. They include:
Rudi and Michael Apelt, two brothers from Germany who devised and carried out a plot to marry a Mesa woman and murder her for insurance proceeds.
The Apelt brothers were the ones who murdered WS' katiecoolady's sister. He was the attorney for the State on their appeals.

I just came across a blog post that dissects this letter with funny comments - hope you enjoy it as much as I did:
Behind Jodi's Letter
May 14, 2015
Kim Anne Whittemore
Well, well... Guess what? I just checked the mail and a letter has arrived from summer camp... oh wait, I mean college... oh crap, our letter has the return address of Perryville Prison in Goodyear, Az. It must be from Jodi... let's open it and see what she has to say. She must be short on paper because the handwriting is SO small! Hmmm... well, let me help you all out and transcribe it...
...The day she arrived, everyone was professional and efficient? What does that mean? Does she think the world believed that her jailer was Vlad the Impaler? Professional and efficient. Does that mean they did a strip search without laughing at the size of her...well, you know. Professional and efficient are code words for distant and unfriendly, and they're about the best qualities you can hope for in people who are chaining your hands and feet together after you've bent over, coughed, and showered in front of them.
...Her journey even begins the same way Milke's did -- with her eyes being blinded with halogen lights (where did she get access to Milke's booking photo, and why was she looking at it? I've never seen it). Then she writes that she was put under suicide watch -- but hey, it was fake suicide watch (because she's perfectly content with the idea of being permanently exiled from society and living with murderers). I think she wrote about this because she knows that the information will eventually get out to the public, so she's mounting a preemptive strike. She wasn't there for "mental health reasons" either (this is her way of telling everyone that her alleged mental illness is nothing more than a mitigator used at trial). While everyone else is on suicide watch, Arias is there for "security reasons -- whatever that means" (it's a prison, idiot -- what do you think it means?).

I liked that just as I like all your videos & everything you've done ..I think you are very unique & artistic and it shows in your poetic story telling here ..well done !!
I just finished reading about Sandy Arias as she's asking the public to fund Jodi's appeal ..I'm a little confused as she says the first 2 appeals are paid for & they leaves me asking why she is asking for $25,000 that will be matched dollar per dollar by an anonymous person but then she goes on to say that they have around 2 years to come up with a $250,000.00 Retainer for a hired Lawyer ?
With everything I've read I just don't see Jodi winning any appeal so I wonder if her mom Sandy is just collecting money under false pretenses for other means ..maybe they want to buy a nice retirement home down in Costa Rica?
I would like to know what you think about this if you're following Jodi's appellate court phase ? Anyone else who cares to add to this discussion your input & opinions are also welcomed also ? ...."

Tucson International Airport (TIA) hit the record high temperature of 109° at 1:35pm today. It dropped below 109° by 3:43pm. That makes it the 3rd day in-a-row with temperatures above 105°.
We have yet to tie or break a record in Tucson since March 30th this year, when it was 93°. Today's record-heat is also the first time it's been above 108° at TIA since June 30, 2013, when it was 111°.
Other areas were near records as well.
Phoenix: High *114°* (Record 114°)
Yuma: High 114° (Record 115°)
Green Valley: High *106°* (Record 106°)

Re: Jodi Arias--Trial for the murder of Travis Alexander #30
JA got off easy... too easy!
I am sure the families did not charge for the meals, the rent on the home they stayed at, babysitters, car tires, car maintenance, etc..
Too low for so many family members...
She should have to pay for the ruined car, the cemetery plot and headstone, etc..
How about the loss of the value of the home in AZ?

Re: Jodi Arias--Trial for the murder of Travis Alexander #30
Watching the Escape (crime channel) shows on TV today.
Saw this one show of high interest and wanted to share the info I got from the show.
Wells Fargo murders . Supreme Court, 2002 appeal by convicted, 2004 clarification, State of Arizona
Why and when did the laws change so the jury makes the penalty decision and not the judge?
"...Arizona law requires the judge to find beyond a reasonable doubt at least one aggravating factor in order to sentence a defendant to die. The judge in Ring's case found two: that the murder was committed for money and "in an especially heinous, cruel or depraved manner."
On automatic direct appeal to the Arizona Supreme Court, the state's highest court affirmed the sentence, rejecting a clutch of arguments for a new trial. But one argument in Ring's appeal gave pause to Justice Stanley Feldman, who wrote the opinion.
The U.S. Supreme Court in two recent cases, Jones v. U.S. in 1999 and Apprendi v. New Jersey in 2000, seemed to overrule Walton v. Arizona, a 1990 case that upheld Arizona's sentencing procedure for capital cases.
Feldman wrote, "While the state is correct in noting that neither Jones nor Apprendi overruled Walton, we must acknowledge that both cases raise some question about the continued viability of Walton."
In Jones, the Court ruled that removing a jury's control over facts determining the "statutory sentencing range" would violate the 6th Amendment.
And the Apprendi opinion stated that "any fact that increases the penalty for a crime beyond the prescribed statutory maximum must be submitted to a jury, and proved beyond a reasonable doubt."

".....New questions in '94 armored-car murder in Glendale
by Michael Kiefer - Jul. 17, 2010 12:00 AM
The Arizona Republic
Timothy Ring got off Arizona's death row in 2007.
But if he gets his way, he could risk another death sentence by going back to trial to try to prove his innocence in a 15-year-old murder case.
Ring was sentenced to death for the 1994 slaying of an armored-car driver during a Glendale heist.
slideshow Arizona's death row
But the U.S. Supreme Court, in a landmark decision, later changed the way the death penalty is imposed in the United States and threw out Ring's sentence.
Ring, now 45, was resentenced to life in prison, but he still maintains his innocence.
This spring, he asked for a new trial, alleging his original defense was ineffective.
The Maricopa County Attorney's Office must respond by Aug. 1. Then, a judge will decide whether Ring deserves a new trial.
The key to Ring's request is new evidence - or rather, evidence that had been downplayed. There are questions about a missing bullet, a cigarette butt that was never found and a pile of cash found in Ring's home.
The findings may or may not mean Ring is not guilty. But they strongly suggest the crime didn't happen the way prosecutors said it did. That could earn Ring a new trial.
If a new jury finds him not guilty, Ring could walk free.
But if it finds him guilty, the man whose name came to define the criteria for a death sentence could end up back on death row. ....."

"....Since the jury during Ring's trial never heard the evidence used to determine a death sentence, the United States Supreme Court found that the judge imposed a stiffer penalty, the death penalty, based on evidence the jury never heard and therefore sentenced him beyond what the jury could consider. This was unconstitutional because the Sixth Amendment requires a jury trial.
Living Laws
A judge can only sentence you for crimes for which a jury has heard the evidence. If further evidence is offered at a sentencing hearing, you still cannot be sentenced to a stiffer penalty than would have been possible based on what the jury heard and decided.
(Do you recall JA stating at the sentencing hearing how she suddenly DID recall murdering Travis? Well placed. Since the jury did not hear this evidence, the judge could not consider the "new" information when passing the sentence.)
The Court decided in Apprendi that the “Sixth Amendment does not permit a defendant to be 'expose[d] … to a penalty exceeding the maximum he would receive if punished according to the facts reflected in the jury alone.'” This decision came 10 years after the decision in Walton that held Arizona's sentencing scheme to be compatible with the Sixth Amendment. ....."
