Kumar Singh must be the "KS" referred to in the federal witness tampering charges that Oscar "Papoo" Hernandez plead guilty to in January.  This is probably why Kumar Singh has immunity.

The discovery of the firearms led authorities to investigate the possibility of interstate gun trafficking, according to CBS Boston. None of the guns recovered is the murder weapon, which still has not been found, reports the Sentinel.

In grand jury testimony, Oscar Hernandez is accused of lying about his role in the purchase and shipment of the vehicle. The charges against him state also state that [b]he "did knowingly attempt to persuade another person" - identified only as "KS" in court documents - to withhold information in a grand jury testimony.

Teller: Hernandez sent $15K to man accused of selling guns

Former Bank of America teller Heidi Carrera testified that Hernandez deposited three checks totaling more than $1.8 million on April 11, 2013. Among them was a March 2013 check signed by Patriots team owner Robert Kraft for more than $1.8 million. Hernandez also deposited a $30,000 check from Puma and a $7,500 check from another company, she said.

Carrera said Hernandez asked her to make a $15,000 deposit from that money into a Florida bank account held by a man named Oscar Hernandez.

Authorities traced three guns found during the investigation of Lloyd's killing to Florida and have said Oscar Hernandez Jr. shipped them to Aaron Hernandez's home in a beat-up Toyota Camry that was found in the football player's garage.

Also Monday, Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh granted immunity to a friend of Oscar Hernandez Jr.'s named Gion Jackson. Jackson testified that Hernandez Jr. was with him when he bought a .22-caliber Jimenez gun at a hardware store in Florida on April 16, 2013, five days after the $15,000 was sent to him by Aaron Hernandez. He said he put the gun in his trunk.

Later, he said, federal agents came to his home and told him his gun was found in Massachusetts.

The trial of Aaron Hernandez for the murder of Odin Lloyd shifted in focus on Monday, the 32nd day of the trial, to the less threatening, but nonetheless important five firearm charges Hernandez faces in connection to Lloyd’s death.

Bristol County (Mass.) prosecutors walked witnesses through a series of financial transactions that involved Hernandez depositing $1.8 million into his Bank of America account while staying in Hermosa Beach, California in April 2013 and then transferring $15,000 to the Bank of America account of the parents of Hernandez associate Oscar “Pappoo” Hernandez (no relation to Aaron Hernandez) in Belle Glade, Florida. Oscar Hernandez, who unbeknownst to jurors in the Aaron Hernandez trial has pleaded guilty to gun charges, allegedly used the $15,000 to help obtain and transport two .22-caliber Jimenez pistols and a semi-automatic 7.62-caliber rifle to Massachusetts. One Jimenez pistol was found in a wooded area near the body of Lloyd while the rifle was allegedly found in Aaron Hernandez’s garage. To be clear, these guns are not the same as the .45-caliber Glock pistol prosecutors contend was used to shoot Lloyd. But they are significant, particularly if jurors decline to convict Aaron Hernandez on murder. Aaron Hernandez would face up to nearly 30 years in prison if convicted on the five firearm charges.

It does seem that Gion Jackson was committing a bit of perjury on the stand. It is hard to believe that he would buy a gun for protection, put it in his trunk with no ammunition, and then just forget about it until ATF came knocking months later. I am wondering why he would not be forthcoming since he was granted immunity? Perhaps, his employment would be jeopardized by telling the truth. It could also be that he is afraid to go home to his rough neighborhood after "snitching" on AH and his buddy Pappoo. Perjury is wrong but I can see why some of these witnesses might be afraid for their own safety. What did the rest of you think of Gion Jackson's testimony?

Also, I am wondering what happened to the barber, Robby Olivaras, testimony? I thought it was supposed to be last Thursday.

^^^ He wasn't telling the truth, even though he was given immunity, he didn't want to say something to incriminate himself. I thought the prosecutor was going to call him out on his lies, he merely suggested that he was not being entirely truthful, but all the prosecutor needed was Jackson to admit that he had purchased the .22 gun that was found near Aaron Hernandez's home.

Oscar's mother tried to distance herself, and her son, from Gion Jackson, she even pretended not to recognize him in a picture that was shown to her by the prosecutor. Even the mechanic was a reluctant witness; they all had "memory lapses".

MyLife, I was thinking that he seemed to be less than forthcoming with testimony. I was also wondering even though it seems logical that the guns would have been in the car, (since they did find one), if no one actually saw the gun in the car can the jury legally make the leap to say it happened.
