Authorities are now calling the deaths of two men and a woman found in a Fullerton, Calif., home a triple homicide and said they also are trying to locate a 17-year-old girl who lived in the house.
Police had been called to the scene, a home in the 400 block of South Gilbert Street, early Saturday morning after another minor, a young girl, called dispatchers and said her parents had died.
Police received the child's call at 8:21 a.m. and the first officers arrived at 8:26 a.m.
Officers found a bizarre and unsettling scene: three bodies and two apparently untouched children. Police said the dead had suffered "significant trauma" but did not immediately release details, except to say no weapons were found at the scene.

"We have confirmed that we do not believe it is a murder-suicide," said Sgt. Jon Radus. "We are treating it as a triple homicide. We do not believe that this was a random act of violence." A neighbor told a CBS Los Angeles reporter that the girl who made the call is a fourth-grader and that she has two older siblings.
The teenager being sought is Katlynn Goodwill Yost.

(CNN) — A 17-year-old girl is missing and believed to be in danger after police found three bodies at the home where she lived in Southern California.
Police rushed to a house in Fullerton on Saturday after a child called dispatchers and said her parents had died, authorities said.
When they arrived, they found two men and one woman dead at the home, the Fullerton Police Department said in a statement. They also found two children, who were unharmed.
Authorities determined that a third minor, Katlynn Goodwill Yost, 17, lived at the home, but was nowhere to be found.
Police did not release any information on how they are related, but a neighbor told the Orange County Register that the couple who lived there had three children -- a teen and two others between ages 7 and 9.

Police say 3 deaths in Fullerton are not a murder-suicide; teen missing

FULLERTON - A young girl’s call to 911 on Saturday morning was the first sign of trouble at the modest Fullerton home on Gilbert Street.
She told the operator that her parents had died.
When officers arrived at 401 S. Gilbert, they found three people – two men and a woman – dead inside. Two girls were inside, too, though unharmed, Fullerton police Sgt. Jon Radus said in a statement.
Now police are trying to piece together what happened and are investigating the deaths as a triple homicide after ruling out a murder-suicide late Saturday.
All of the bodies had obvious signs of trauma, Radus said, but he did not know yet what caused it.

Saturday night, the Fullerton police asked for the public’s help in finding a third girl – 17-year-old Katlynn Goodwill Yost – who also lives at the house. Investigators haven’t been able to find her after searching all day, Radus said.
She is neither a victim nor a suspect at this point, Radus said, describing Yost as a “missing/at-risk person.”
Radus said she may be a family member of one or a few of the victims, but he couldn’t confirm it because the coroner has not yet identified the victims.
“We are concerned for her safety and we are asking the public’s help in locating her,” Radus said.

On Sunday investigators also located unharmed the teen who was missing Saturday, Kaitlynn Goodwill Yost, 17. A 17-year-old girl was also detained, Radus said, but state law prevents officers from disclosing the identity of juveniles placed into police custody.
The teen also faces murder charges. All suspects knew the family, officers said.
Jennifer Goodwill Yost was Kaitlynn’s mother and she looked upon Christopher Yost as a stepfather, according to Radus. Boucher was a family friend who stayed at the residence from time to time, he said.
Radus said the suspects also know Kaitlynn, but their relationship is under investigation.
