I was actually being sarcastic on my above post. Sometimes Bob, and his lawyer get, on my nerves.

A Las Vegas tent where people were playing 21 for a benefit event was probably a far cry from the real thing. Perhaps some people feel uncomfortable around Bob when they imagine that he could be responsible for Jane's death, maybe there were some tensions and that was the reason why he was was asked to leave. Also, there might be some people in the community who are very conservative and consider BDSM (Bob's "alternative" life style) to be a taboo.

Bashara had met his friends at the Vegas tent on May 18 where he learned two dealers had failed to show up. He offered to work for free and was given a name tag and a table to handle.

“Life hasn’t been fun with the death of my wife and the terrible things being said about me in the press, so I just wanted to get out for a little while,” he said. “When I found out they were short on dealers, I said I’d be happy to deal; I know a little about gambling from having gone on some Vegas jaunts. Monsignor G. Michael Bugarin last week told the Macomb Daily he personally asked Bashara to leave and was under the impression that Bashara had only worked a short time in the Vegas tent before being escorted out.

“The monsignor’s comments were unfair and untrue,” Bashara said. “I guess I would have assumed a man of the cloth would tell the truth.”

To wait for Joe Gentz' court appearance maybe on June 11, 2012 ... and see if they will deal with him in some way on that date or if it gets adjourned again for a future date (as it happened in May ..got adjourned till June 11) ... Then after they deal with JG in court -- maybe cut some deal with him to testify against Bob etc... (if he will be found competent in court that is ... etc .. meanwhile Joe is still misbehaving in jail, however .. after his pea brain realized, more likely, that he is actually in jail, and for a long stay at that .... and not at some 5 star hotel luxury vacation, in Aruba somewhere.....)

Detroit’s Local 4 News Filming of BDSM Club Irresponsible Journalism

DETROIT - I just learned Detroit’s Local 4 News planted someone at a local BDSM Dungeon party and will broadcast images of the guests captured on a hidden camera on tonight’s 11pm news. The angle of the story is something to the effect of “OMG! Are there really crazy sex parties in our quiet suburban neighborhoods!?” The story will also attempt to tie a local murder suspect’s involvement with S&M to his wife’s killing.

Although faces will be blurred, it is unclear whether other identifying marks like tattoos will be obscured (they were not blurred in the promos). It is also unclear if the name/location of the venue will be revealed.

This promotional segment on “Dungeons of Debautery” has already been airing all day. Note, the clip includes audio and clear below the neck views of some party goers. I am at odds with whether or not to link to this clip. I decided to go ahead because it’s important for us to see how this subject is being portrayed. My outrage didn’t fully kick in until I saw this video with my own two eyes: Detroit’s Dungeons of Debautery. The text below the video reads “Are there dungeons of debauchery in quiet, local communities? Wait until you see what Defender hidden cameras reveal!”

UPDATE: The promo clip that failed to properly obscure the identities of party goers has been removed from Channel 4’s website. The full story has aired and can be seen HERE. The undercover scenes are dramatically different from the promo and the focus of the story was changed, likely due to the public outcry spearheaded by the kinky community. The story was originally called “Dungeons of Debauchery” and is now “Bob Bashara’s Alternative Lifestyle.” The station also blurred out entire bodies instead of partial faces. Unfortunately, the station did name the venue.

A former Bashara handyman, Gentz reportedly confessed, telling police alternately that he was forced at gunpoint by Bob Bashara to kill the woman, while other times saying he was given cash and a used car for the murder. He remains in jail awaiting a June 11 hearing in 36th District Court in Detroit to determine whether he his mentally stable enough to understand the charges against him.

While Bob Bashara waits to see if prosecutors will charge him for the strangulation of his wife, the Grosse Pointe Park property manager ponders his future and the prospect of someday writing a book about his experiences.

Bashara, who Grosse Pointe Park police have labeled a person of interest in the murder of Jane Bashara, said he’s been ostracized from the life he once knew and feels he has been falsely portrayed by anonymous prosecutors and the media as an out-of-control playboy who got a sexual thrill from causing pain to women.

“The bottom line is I am a pacifist,” he said. “I am not a violent person in any way and I could never be mean or evil-spirited. I’m a man who owns rental properties, and who cared for two women. But I loved my wife, Jane. Without her, I have nothing.”

Jane Bashara, a Mount Clemens native who worked for a marketing firm, was married for 26 years to Bob Bashara and the couple have two grown children. The two were well known in the Grosse Pointe community, raising thousands of dollars for various school and charitable projects.

Sometimes, it is better to NOT hang you linen in public.
I seriously doubt if his kids want to read about Dad's unfaithfulness to Mom or his sexual proclivity.

Joseph Gentz, who has undergone a psychiatric evaluation, was scheduled to be in Detroit’s 36th District Court today, but the hearing was adjourned until June 11 to give the Forensic Center time to complete reports.

June 05--Ralph Roberts, author and local real estate broker, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection from creditors including his mother.

Roberts, 55, a prolific author of real estate books including "Foreclosure Self-Defense for Dummies" and "Walk Like a Giant, Sell Like a Madman," filed for bankruptcy on May 25 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Detroit.

His assets include an 11-foot-long, 250-pound nail that Uniroyal used in its big tire on I-94 near Metro Airport. He purchased the nail for $3,000 on eBay in 2003.

He listed assets of $1.8 million and liabilities of $73.2 million in the court documents. Yet in a phone interview with the Free Press, Roberts said that the debt overstated the amount owed to a group of investors. His liabilities include $6.5 million owed to 11 investors, including Dorothy Roberts of Clinton Township, not $6.5 million to each of them as stated in court documents. Total liabilities are $8.1 million.

Other investors who filed a lawsuit in February 2011 to recover their investment in Roberts' real estate investments were Charles A. Ferarolis of Mt. Clemens, Helen Sernka of Grand Rapids, Joseph and Elenore Zardis of Warren, John Zardis of Mt. Clemens, Mary Ferris of West Bloomfield, Richard Whitmore of Detroit, Tony and Audrey Ferris of Grosse Pointe and trusts in Tony and Audrey Ferris' names.

Joseph Zirianni of Rochester, who is Roberts' accountant, along with Roberts' mother declined to be part of the lawsuit, said Marc Thomas, the Bingham Farms attorney representing the investors.

Thomas said Monday that he planned to challenge the bankruptcy. The investor lawsuit alleged that Roberts was hiding assets and possibly transferring them to his wife to avoid paying investors.

According to Roberts' bankruptcy filing, all creditors would share in a total of roughly $1 million over five years. He plans to continue operating his company with 25 employees as usual.

Roberts also filed for bankruptcy protection for his Sterling Heights-based Ralph Roberts Realty, listing assets of $1.5 million and liabilities of $108,381.98.

Detroit attorney David Griem, who is owed an "unknown amount" according to the court filing, said Monday that the debt is from attorney fees "and they are forgiven."

"I'm not filing anything and there's no way I would add to his bankruptcy or interfere with him getting back on his feet."

Griem, who defended Roberts against federal corruption charges that were dismissed in 2005 before trial, said the criminal charges followed by the death the next year of Roberts' 18-year-old daughter, Kolleen, in a personal watercraft accident was a one-two punch that left him reeling.

"It's been difficult for him to come back," Griem said. "He was fighting the good fight, but he was also dealing with the Michigan economy."

Detroit— A Clinton Township Realtor who owns the giant nail from the iconic Uniroyal tire near Detroit Metropolitan Airport and his company have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy — and he listed the nail as a $3,000 asset.

Ralph Roberts, the author of several books on real estate, sales techniques and investing, filed for bankruptcy in Detroit on May 25, the same day his real estate company, Ralph Roberts Realty LLC, filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy...

Saturday, June 9 is the kick-off of the Justice for Jane campaign in the Grosse Pointe community. This campaign is the display of items with the words “Justice for Jane” including yard signs, ribbon magnets for cars, wristbands, and purple tree ribbons. This first distribution of items is very limited, with future distributions planned as new requests are received.

The goal is to have as many of them on view as possible before June 22, which would have been her 57th birthday. We believe Jane would be proud and deeply gratified that her community joined together to avenge the terrible wrong of her senseless death.

The purpose of the campaign is to show in a visible way the Grosse Pointe community's desire to bring to justice whoever murdered one of its most respected members. It affirms a trust in law enforcements' efforts on her case and stands behind them.

Sale of campaign items serves a dual purpose in providing funds for a commemorative vigil for Jane which will be held later this summer, date to be determined. All proceeds in excess of expenses will be donated to one of Jane’s favorite charities.

This first wave of signs and tree ribbons is very limited as they were sold with no media exposure or advertising --- simply from those who view Justice4Jane.forumotion.com. We fully expect many more requests when people see them and hear about the campaign. They will be distributed every week for as long as being ordered. The wristbands and car magnets are due in by June 15. To date, the count ordered is: yards signs, 46; wristbands, 52; ribbon car magnets, 23; tree ribbons, 14.
