Good Day Peeps, I am ready for this trial to be over now. JA needs to fade into oblivion. I am really interested to see what mitigating factors that could be presented to offset the cruel butchering. I'm just guessing here, but I say none.

What did she do that was SO severe SHE did NOT want others to know? Slashing tires and stalking and home invasions had NOT upset Travis so much as this. And JA said SHE was going to hire "her attorney" at this point.

No. Travis was NOT expecting JA to arrive that fateful morning.

So. What was it Travis knew and JA did not, could not let others share it that knowledge? I have two opinions of my own but I would really like to hear what others think...

I am not sure what it was, but I have always DISAGREED with those who said it was the sex tape. Piffle!!!!! If Travis was being blackmailed with that by Jodi why would he be saying HE was going to TELL EVERYONE THEY KNEW ABOUT HER???
I think

1. Travis did not know about the sex tape at the time of his death. (I have many reasons for that but won't go into them here now).

2. Even if Travis at some point learned of the sex tape, it would not be something that would HURT HIM WORSE THAN HIS FATHER'S DEATH!

3. If Travis someday had learned of the existence of the sex tape, he would have been shamed and embarrassed, but I firmly believe he would have 'taken his lumps', fessed up to his friends, confessed to his bishop, and moved on.


4. What ever Jodi had done, if people found out, IT WOULD HURT JODI'S REPUTATION, NOT TRAVIS'.

5. Whatever terrible thing Jodi had done, I believe it was crucial as to HOW she gained access to Travis' home on June 4th, and to HOW SHE WAS ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH HIM THAT DAY.
This terrible, awful thing had to have been really bad. We see that it took a lot before Travis really lost it like that. Jodi HAD to have told Travis on June 4th that she had come all that way in person to speak to him about whatever the issue was!

We may never know all that transpired on the day of the murder, or what was said between them. I do think Jodi did hope that Travis would take her back, when she went to see him, but I agree the murder was not mainly about that or Cancun. To a great degree, Jodi lives in a very immature fantasy world, and I do think that she may have entertained the notion that she could manipulate/seduce him into becoming a couple. This murder plot was hatched immediately after the email Travis sent her on May 26th., and it has it's roots there.
I think Juan MAY know something about what it was that Jodi had done to Travis that was so 'terrible'. For some reason, it couldn't come out at the trial.

I agree with ya- on no way was it just the sex tape...that, by itself- TA would've known he could overcome the blowback sorry- had to use that...I do NOT think it was the sex tape itself, I'm thinking it was just one piece...an example of how twisted & sick she was, that he could no longer gloss over. I agree with auman too- that she full-on premeditated the sex tape, down to what topics would (apologies in advance for the figure of speech) make those meat curtains open...Me thinky that she worked in some 12 y.o. girl fantasy stuff before that tape...that that's what SHE wanted.

Considering all this, that she had specifically lured him to her own scripted version of the tape, then recorded without his knowledge, then tried to use it as a way of 'getting back' with him...Together with whatever other horrible crime she committed against him (ie. fraud/theft), I'm just suggesting that she EXPOSED HERSELF to him by May 26- that it was the culmination of all these events, that he had an epiphany if you will- of how badly he'd been 'taken'/toyed with/full-on USED by her, and I'm not just referring to his dildo comment/her using him for sex...I just think what he considered 'betrayal' was the ENTIRE 'RELATIONSHIP' was total b.s.- that he'd been played for a total chump, and the entire time he'd been sincerely thinking he was 'helping'/developing some sort of romantic and/or friendship with her...which he held dear. Unlike the demon.

Please- I LOOOOOOOVE hearing y'all tinker about with all this...nothing in my brain is set in stone, except that she's a demon force of nature.
