My heart breaks when these things happen. How can such evil be allowed to be in the world? And how many times have people turned and looked the other way when these monsters begin to show their true colors? What was overlooked in the past? Who saw the monster developing and let it slide? And how many people are hurt by these monsters before they are stopped?

We, as a society, need to open our eyes and bring these things into the light of day. Hiding these things and burying them does nothing to stop them. Evil grows in the darkness. We have to put a spotlight on these monsters early and wake the world up. We are never going to stop this type of thing by burying our heads in the sand and pretending it doesn't happen.

I have no idea why this monster would do what she did to this precious child. But this is just my opinion:

This woman looks more like a man than a woman, so I am thinking she may be gay. It is known she was a friend of the babysitter who Jonathan and his mom moved in with. Maybe, this POS thought something was going on between the two women and she didn't like it, so she decided to get back at the mom.

As I stated, this is just my opinion, as I have not read anything like that in this thread. But as you all know, everyone has a opinion on everything. I have learned my lesson, that I should not voice my opinion, but I just did it again. Sorry~!

his bike down any path, or swimming in any place that was big enough
to do so. He enjoyed the outdoors so much that he wanted to be a
marine biologist when he grew up. Even though he will not have that
opportunity, we will all be forever blessed that this amazing child
visited our lives, even if it was for just an all too brief moment.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Meyers, Isaiah Meyers, Elijah
Meyers, Harleigh Scrimsher, Spencer Scrimsher, Luke Nicholas,
Jordan Nicholas, Logan Elliott, Timothy O’Fallin, Jonathan O’Fallin.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the fellowship hall at
Garden Oaks Baptist Church, 3206 N Shepherd from 10:00 AM until
1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 4, 2010. The memorial service will be
held at Garden Oaks Baptist Church at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, January
4, 2010. A police escorted procession to South Park Cemetery in
Pearland will follow the service.

Jonathan will always be loved and missed by his family and all of

Bringing Jonathan's obit forward!

On Jan. 4, 2011, I attended Jonathan Foster's Visitation and Memorial Service in Houston, Tx and the Burial Service in Pearland, Tx.

I personally gave Angela Davis, Jonathan's mother, a sympathy card from me, one from Valhall and the Members of The Hinky Meter and one from the Owner and Members of Reality Chatter.

With the approval of Fysty Angel and Justice4All, I selected a beautiful sympathy card that had a beach scene with the ocean, seagulls in flight in a beautiful sky and had a beautiful verse of sympathy.

I chose that card because of the inside verse and the scene. Jonathan liked going to the beach and fishing.

Space was limited because of the pre-printed verse but I was able to write this:

We wish to express our deepest, heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your precious loved one, Jonathan.

May your many cherished memories of Jonathan be forever in your heart!

During visitation at the church annex, I visited with Angela and her husband for a while. They were both very appreciative for the cards. I told them that Reality Chatter is a high quality blog that primarily focuses on missing and/or murdered children, abuse, and some adult cases. I told them Reality Chatter supports justice for the victims.

I told Angela and David that there is a thread set-up at Reality Chatter for Jonathan and many links to news media are posted and Jonathan's obituary from Carnes is posted.

She asked for the "address" of RC. I told her I wrote it on the back of the envelope. She said they do not have a computer right now but hope to get one soon. However, she can check out RC from a friend's computer.

If anyone would like to leave Angela or the family of Jonathan Foster words of sympathy or express your condolences, please do so. She said she and her family, sometime in the future, will check here to see the thread set up for Jonathan.

Instead of re-writing a comment about Jonathan's funeral yesterday, I will post a comment that I posted at The Hinky Meter by Valhall yesterday on a thread titled, "Jonathan".

I attended Jonathan's funeral today. It was a very beautiful, emotional service!

Everyone attending were given a laminated picture of Jonathan with a small black ribbon to wear. His friend and classmate, a beautiful little girl, handed them out as people arrived for the visitation. Her father told me that he and his family made them and found a company that laminated them.

Under Jonathan's picture, it says: In Loving Memory of Jonathan Foster 11/9/1998 - 12/24/2010.

Also, all attending were given a "funeral service hand-out" (program) and a Prayer Card. Both had Jonathan's picture on the front.

All of the Houston News media were there . . . . . before, during and after the funeral service.

I will post a video from KTRK. They interviewed Jonathan's classmate and friend. There are brief snippets from inside the church.

I met several members of Jonathan's family. I personally gave Angela Davis, Jonathan's mother, a sympathy card from me, and cards from Val and The Hinky Meter and Reality Chatter.

Angela was very appreciative and gracious. She was sitting with her husband, David Davis, during the visitation which was in the church annex. Angela and David are now aware of The Hinky Meter and at a later time are looking forward to reading this beautiful article by Val and the comments you have made or will make on this page for Jonathan.

I told Angela of the candle that Val has burning for Jonathan. She and David were very touched.

If you would like to leave Angela a message regarding the loss of her precious son, Jonathan, please do so. She and her husband are devastated, as can be imagined, and I am sure she will find comfort in your kind words, expressions of sympathy and condolences.

Angela leaned on David for comfort and support. She held on to two special things of Jonathan's during the visitation, church funeral service and at the cemetery. They were a stuffed frog puppet and his blanket which was blue with brown.

I can not even imagine the pain and devastation Jonathan's mother, Angela and her husband, David Davis, his uncle and family from Missouri, his maternal grandmother, Mary Gifford, and all immediate family members are going through. It was very emotional.

I will be e-mailing Val later tonight with details of the service.

In this article, from the Houston Chronicle, picture 1 was taken at the cemetry during the Public Burial Service. A priavate burial service was held after the Public Service.

You can clearly see Angela's pain and devasation as her husband, David Davis holds her.

The second picture is of Jonathan's urn. The colors are distorted but it was a beautiful shade of blue with white doves in flight and a subdued sky design and the words: Going home . . . . written in script.

The urn appeared to be of a fine stone, perhaps unpolished quartz or marble. Don't really know for sure.

His uncle reads a letter telling of his love and admiration

Glenn Scrimsher read aloud from a letter he wrote to his nephew, 12-year-old Jonathan Paul Foster, at a memorial service Tuesday in the sanctuary of Garden Oaks Baptist Church.

"Dear Jonathan," Scrimsher read from the letter, written as part of a eulogy for the slain boy. "I want to start out by saying how much I love you, and to thank you for being here for me when I need you."

Scrimsher, a bearish man with five children of his own, stopped briefly, tears on his cheeks. "You made myself and my life better in ways I didn't realize you would."

As friends and family members prepared to say goodbye to the exuberant fifth-grader, his life was celebrated at a memorial service at the Houston church that attracted hundreds of mourners, including many who never met Jonathan. After the service, Jonathan's remains were interred in a family plot at South Park Cemetery in Pearland.

The family requested a respite from questions about the police investigation surrounding Jonathan's disappearance on Christmas Eve and the discovery of his small, seared body days later in a culvert. Instead, they asked for a day of remembrance for a sweet and polite boy who bounced from home to home in his short life, but never seemed to harbor any anger or resentment.

"A little boy has left us some big shoes to fill," said pastor Ken Durham.

"I'll be frank with you. It's going to be a hard example to follow," Durham said, offering this advice: "Love people. Forget what they look like. Forget what they act like. Forget what you may think you know about them, and just love them," he said. "Jonathan did."

HOUSTON -- A 12-year-old boy who police said was kidnapped and killed on Christmas Eve was laid to rest on Tuesday.

Jonathan Foster disappeared from his home on Oak Street on Dec. 24. His burned body was found in a drainage ditch on Dec. 28.

Family and friends gathered to say goodbye at the Garden Oaks Baptist Church in northwest Houston.

"He taught me unconditional love," said Mary Gifford, Jonathan's grandmother.

Gifford said she had too many fond memories to single out just one.

Jonathan's uncle said he took the boy hunting and fishing for the first time and raised Jonathan from 6 to 11 years old. He said Jonathan loved computer games, flying kites, going to the beach and museums.
