Day 19, Testimony Continues In Casey Anthony Murder Trial

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Day 19 of Casey Anthony's murder trial begins on Thursday and it could be the day jurors see recorded video of Casey in jail, dismissing the theory that Caylee drowned.

It's from a conversation between Casey and her parents when they visited her in the Orange County Jail shortly after she was arrested in August 2008.

The defense tried to object to that video on Wednesday to keep it from being admitted to trial. But Judge Belvin Perry told Jose Baez that the time for those objections passed long before the trial began.

Prosecutors called Casey’s brother and members of law enforcement to the witness stand Wednesday, trying to give jurors a better look at the conflicting statements she told them before and after the child was reported missing.

Friend Did Not Know 'Zenaida'; Casey Said He Introduced Her

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- An acquaintance of Casey Anthony testified on day 19 of her murder trial Thursday, that he never introduced Casey to a babysitter whom she claims kidnapped her daughter, Caylee Anthony.

At about 9:00am, Jeff Hopkins was called to the stand as the first witness.

Casey had told investigators that Caylee was kidnapped by a babysitter named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, but witnesses have testified that no such babysitter existed. Casey had also said that Hopkins introduced her to the babysitter and that Zenaida also took care of Hopkins's son.

However, on the stand, Hopkins said that he did not have a child and did not introduce Casey to a babysitter. He also said he did not know how Caylee died.

Leonard Turtora, a Universal Studios employee, was called to the stand next. Turtora told the court that he escorted the investigator, who was with Casey at Universal Studios, the day she was instructed to verify her employment at the park. Turtora said that she was pointing in random directions and he knew she did not work there.

Orange County detective Yuri Melich took the stand again on Thursday. The jury heard another audio recording of Melich questioning Casey before her arrest. Melich was asking her about her alleged employment at Universal Studios. Her story did not seem to add up.

After watching jail house video tapes most of the afternoon, Jose Baez tried to add a list minute witness for the defense. They have to hold a hearing on it. Judge Perry stated there is a case that won't allow this type of witness without following the rules then maybe not at all. To me it seems she's a live life happily even after the death of of loved one, JMO.

I had at first thought the defense oddly sat themselves where they did in the courtroom because, as reported, they thought people would sneak peaks at their top secret stuff and foil their brilliant plans.

But look at this picture. Casey's view of witnesses is completely obstructed, as is their view of her.

She does not actually have to face all those people she has wronged, lied to, stolen from and hurt so incredibly deeply.

She is a coward. She cannot face them. She hides where they cannot observe her and she is not forced to look them in the eyes.

State Exposes Lie After Lie From Casey On Day 19 Of Trial

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- The state exposed lie after lie from Casey Anthony on day 19 of her murder trial Thursday. However, Orange County Detective Yuri Melich saw through them all.

Casey Anthony entered the courtroom around 8:50am, wearing a light blue, short-sleeved buttoned down shirt and dark pants. She had her hair pulled up in a tight bun.

Jurors listened Thursday to her nearly hour-long interview with detectives the day after her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, was reported missing in 2008.

"Every single thing you've told us is a lie," Melich said to Casey during a recorded interview.

The tapes are amazing, she never seemed to crack, just one lie after another, all their accusations did not faze her at all, she never even seemed to get upset about it, even when they told her they knew she was lying. She just kept on and on, like a rat trying to get through a maze

Hi Ronald - I totally agree, it really is something to witness. I'm sure her actions will be studied by many criminal psych classes in the future......they should be testing on her like a rat!
