18 there is actually a better photo out there of the reflection blown up that you can see light colored bottoms and a figure with a head... I couldn't make out if they were holding anything or not and don't see how anyone else could either other than to just speculate... I don't know if he knew she had a weapon but I think he looks scared and unsure in that picture. She could have been saying stuff to him and he's like oh, sh!t I'm stuck in here and she's flipped her effing lid... Something triggered that look, it's different from the rest...

what was the deal with her camping with a bunch of guys she didn't know and needed to purchase the 9mm? Wouldn't there be a paper trail of the trip being planned? didn't they find her in a rental car, knives, later found the gun, money and airline tickets? I'm just trying to clarify...

She previously said she bought gun to commit suicide. Again with the suicide.

why wouldn't she just steal one of the many licensed and unregistered guns at her disposal from her family and friends? you know since she didn't have any money and all... lol

question...anyone know the time Jodi claimed under oath that she and Travis were downstairs in his office that day? I been hunting for a transcript of her "official" account of what all transpired that day but can't find this info at all.

I still don't see how she can expect people to believe that this wasn't premed when all she had to do to see RB and go to that PPL event was drive east from Yreka. You don't have any money but yet you drive south way away from home to rent a car, make unneccesary visits for gas cans and photo ops, salon visits, etc drive east and become a ghost as soon as you hit AZ then drive north to RB and get back on the radar as soon as you hit the UT border. Spend a minute amount of time with the person the visit was planned for.... Seriously?

I think with her slip that she didn't feel fear when stabbing TA then corrected to anger... She did that to with RB being her alibi... JM tripped her up some how and that happened...

You guys are totally awesome - I had no idea how much of this very short trial I had forgotten already.
So Jodi called him 14 times in that two day period before the killings. And Travis did call her back - on June 2nd at 3am or so.
He didn't call her again! He didn't return her calls. He did NOT know she was coming!
End of story!
Now fry the bitch!

Her gas cans lie. Why even bother? Two 5 gallon gas cans in conjunction with the cell phone being off is bad. Its already bad.
Why lie about the 3rd gan???
Honestly, if she got up on the stand and cried her eyes out - Travis didn't love me - he used me - he tossed me away - I snapped - I was desperate, etc. I, personally, would have sympathized with her. I would not vote for her death.
She really truly screwed herself here. Its already premeditated - we see that. Even if we feel sorry for you - wished you had gotten help or had someone nurturing - we would have to find you guilty of 1st degree. But she would have NEVER gotten death!
Does anyone know if Arizona requires unanimous decision in order for the judge to order the death penalty?

Well, along with a lot of people, I just disagree. This IMO was definitely one of the 'Calvin Klein' shots. We know he did not want to do it and she talked him into it. Showed the photo to hubby too and did not tell him what I thought. He said he looks like he's posing, looks serious but not scared in the least.
I have looked at that photo many many times and NEVER has my first (or last) impression been that he looks scared. In fact, I would even go so far as to say he looks like he might have been thinking "this is so dumb, I feel like an ass, I am not a freaking model, let's get this over with"! EVERYONE I showed it to agreed.
To buy into the fact that he was scared you have to believe that he saw the knife and knew things were not good. This is just NOT REASONABLE to put it in 'trial terms'! This big guy could easily have run, overpowered her, or any number of other options, wet or not, IF he saw her with the weapon first, and knew his life was on the line. This is not logical thinking at all to believe that he was attacked as he sat looking at her. Hell, he even could have directed the shower at her (which was still on) and bought a second or two by dousing her if necessary!
No, no, and no. The only option for sneaky Jodi was to suprise and shock the hell out of him. I have said it before---there is only ONE thing that makes sense, given the times on the pix. IMMEDIATELY after that photo, he began to get up to a standing position, with no reason to be wary of her in any way, his eyes were probably averted for a second or two. In that few seconds she had the knife out and began the attack with NO hesitation, no seconds wasted.

There is another one as well with a drawing around the figure. I believe his explanation is backwards though.
this is the blown up drop in Travis' eye.

Here is a comment on this photo on FB that really says it all:
"I believe Travis was a very smart guy. There is no way she stood there with a knife at hand and a camera on the other while she terrorized him. JA stabbed him unexpectedly. She had that knife hidden and Travis did not see that fatal stab to the heart coming. But that is just my opinion. Aside from that No, I do not see anything other than the flash though I can see what would look like a figure but it just looks too ninja, cartoonish and I doubt JA stood straight like that. I would think the state would have used as evidence if they could determine the reflection of her standing there with a knife..."
I agree with this 100 percent. This last photo of Travis was a posed shot by and for Jodi, period. He does not look scared, and there is no way that he saw the knife before he was attacked. It was a SUPRISE attack, designed to catch him off guard and certainly to give the 5 ft. 5 Jodi any and all advantage. I have to say I think it's ridiculous that some people are still trying to say he looks scared because she was standing over him with a knife! That whole concept IMO (and a lot of other's) is ludicrous.
As to this photo, NO WAY can you see those details---there is no knife visible in the reflection in Travis's eyes, nor any details proving who is in the reflection, and if ANY of this were there I guarantee that a sophisticated FBI lab would have exposed them, and they would have been part of the prosecution's case!
Remember too the coroner stated the knife wound to the heart was an upward thrust so it is unlikely he was still in that seated position when this occurred.I suspect she said something while he was down tho that caused him to look at her the way he is in that last picture of his face.. I couldn't see squat in the blown up eye photo either btw.

She is shorter than he. If he was seated, I believe the wound would go down, not up. If they were both standing, she would be stabbing him with a slightly UPWARD motion, as she is not his height---IMO

So is JM going to start where he left off with the gas & cans or throw her off and go with something else she won't be expecting then circle back around?

From Twitter, lil bro Joey Arias answers the question,
Why do you think Jodi recorded the phone calls?

Can someone grab a screen shot of this?

I could not find out that specifically. However, I found some of this interesting...
Jones v. United States set the precedent that removing a jury's control over the facts determining the “statutory sentencing range” would violate the Sixth Amendment. In Apprendi v. New Jersey, the United States Supreme Court held that “any fact that increases the penalty for a crime beyond the prescribed statutory maximum must be submitted to a jury, and proved beyond a reasonable doubt.” Both rulings seemed to indicate that all evidence must be heard by the jury before the death penalty can be imposed or the sentence would not meet the requirements of the Sixth Amendment.
Read more: The Supreme Court: Must a Jury Decide the Death Penalty? | Infoplease.com http://www.infoplease.com/cig/supreme-court/must-jury-decide-death-penalty.html#ixzz2NRM3Ja1d
A judge can only sentence you for crimes for which a jury has heard the evidence. If further evidence is offered at a sentencing hearing, you still cannot be sentenced to a stiffer penalty than would have been possible based on what the jury heard and decided.

Well a M1 conviction would mean they felt it was premed and therefore she can get LWOP or the DP. the making it qualify for the DP was the fact that he was tortured and knew he was going to die during the attack.

IMO, it was BS. JA said, some guys from her work, she did not know the names, were going to go camping and panning for gold; she was going to go with them; because there would probably be drinking, and she would be the only female there, she thought it would be wise to buy a gun.Bmore wrote:what was the deal with her camping with a bunch of guys she didn't know and needed to purchase the 9mm? Wouldn't there be a paper trail of the trip being planned? didn't they find her in a rental car, knives, later found the gun, money and airline tickets? I'm just trying to clarify...
Who intentionally goes to an unsafe place?
What woman would intentionally go over night camping with a bunch of guys?
With a bunch of guys she does NOT know the names of or exactly where they will be?
And.
What newly baptized Mormon FEMALE would hang with ALL guys, OVER NIGHT, UNDISCLOSED LOCATION, with DRINKING???
But she supposedly bought the gun for this reason!
IMO, since she bought the gun, packed it and TWO knives (bottom of box of books sposedly taking to MM), did JA have intentions of killing someone else who just might know too much in her opinion?

I don't think Juan is gonna do the gas purchase in SLC or the Wal-Mart bogus return today.
That will be for rebuttal. He's just subpoenaed the records yesterday.
There are more juror questions, too. Today will be interesting.
The defense experts will be boring. Until Juan crosses them. So Carlakay can run for the smokes when the Battered Woman thingamajig gets on the stand.

And everyone knows - Wal-Mart has to SCAN the receipt in order to give the refund. Even if we are to believe that the customer service rep FORGOT to get a pen out and circle the item on Jodi's receipt, it still has to be SCANNED!
The cashier can not just open the drawer and pull out cash. Oh, and the cashier would have had to pull out a calculator to figure in the tax. The bar code has to be scanned.
THEN the drawer opens up for the cash return.
No record of this being done. Not "I don't remember that girl being here", not "if I didn't take out my pen and circle the item then initial it she didn't return it"
The COMPUTER records show that there was NO SCAN on THAT BARCODE for June 3, 2008.
Period!
This is simply reDONKulous of Jodi to keep up this lie of all the lies she's supposedly fessing up to now.

I know from experience a return with no receipt is a merchandise card not cash... so even if she didn't show the receipt she'd have to give her driver's license documentation of the return...

Yes! What got me was discovering this "so important" meeting meets EVERY Thursday night for ONE hour. And she couldn't recall what was discussed at this meeting!justanopinion wrote:Bmore wrote:I still don't see how she can expect people to believe that this wasn't premed when all she had to do to see RB and go to that PPL event was drive east from Yreka. nicely said!
JA was NOT a dedicated employee of PPL despite her attempts at inflating her own image.
IIRC, spring 2008, Travis got on her for her complaining. She had not made quota at the very bottom tier. She wanted it handed to her. IMO, the May 26th text, TA possibly alludes to this when he said to her she FAILED TO READ THE INFO he had sent to her. Not everyone is a salesperson but she didn't even try. And then wanted to claim the rewards for the efforts OTHERS had worked hard for.
Back to the meeting:
Who drives that distance, spends that amount of time, kicks out ALL that money on car rentals, fuel, nails, etc., JUST for a one hour restaurant howdy call?

no butts for me..got one of them e cigs for back up if I get too desperate...figured it was the key to quitting..all it did was make me smoke more since could use it anywhere and I can't handle smoking real ones indoors anymore since our state banned it.

lol I wish someone on here was good at photoshop... would be really nice to see a pic of a cooked goose with JA's head on it.(could be in the smoking room) .. think she cooked it this time... I really want to hear the jury's questions... they need to be given every opportunity to be perfectly clear since it is a DP case... don't want them to err on the side of caution!!

nicely said!
JMO I do not believe for one second that she wanted to be a PPL sales person.... IMOO I think she joined so that she could meet, greet and bed successful men and hopefully one of them would like the grand canyon enough to marry it!! MOO MOO
