I think this dr. Samuels will have a hard time explaining why she had the three gas cans, had the presence of mind enough to clean up all items that were used in the murder and stripping the bed and washing the 'towel, bedding and the camera'. Is this all part of PTSD? I think not. She then travels into the dessert, becomes lucid enough to ditch all aforementioned items and clean up with water, go on her merry way and try and seduce the next love of her life. It just will not add up, no matter what math you use.

Got a few updates on HLN last night for a few minutes. Glad I didn't watch him---I would have been jumping out of my chair or tempted to reach for the dark chocolate (I don't smoke!)---big boob! Idiot! Saw Jodi's face with sound off during a bit of his testimony. She looked totally bored. No effort to even hide it. That arrogant b_____ is probably sure that the jury and everyone else is buying all this guy's crap, and smirking inside that she is going to get away with her ploy and that she trashed Travis' character to boot!

Hope JM uses something like this to discredit any tests Samuels used.

She needed to be tested closer to the event time. He waited too long. His test methods have too many false positives for PTSD. Better testing methods available.

That is why I think it's important sometimes that we email prosecutor's office etc. with stuff we find on occasion. Sure, maybe they already know this, but what if they don't?!

Hello! This is a NO BRAINER! She is LOCKED UP and has been for YEARS as SHE kept postponing the trial!

On Dr. D, i missed it last night but read the transcripts this morning... he said that Dr. S did abbreviated tests on her when there were more extensive ones out there and for him to see her basically 4 times a year (12 times in 3 years) and reading the journals of a known admitted liar isn't going to give you an accurate diagnosis.... On top of some of the stuff he said was just plain wrong... and the global amnesia thing is a medical condition, something he's going out of his range on... One of his guest said so she had her memory screwed out of her.... lol

another thing on Dr.D was one of his jurors heard people talking about Dr. S saying how great this case was and how good for his book it'll be... He was sharing smiles at JA at the table... Granted the jury might notice the smiles but not the comment if it happened but this guy is suppose to be impartial, to give his expert opinion not be JA's supporter. She should be a lab-rat he's observing and he should state his findings about her based on his knowledge and training... Isn't that an expert witness?

We all have had those "traumatic" events.
The question is" What is defined as trauma may be normal or a life experience to another. I am sure showing up at the Oscar's and seeing someone else wearing the same shores and dress as you are wearing MUST be traumatic; or getting passed over at work for a promotion your team put together when YOU did the majority of the work, has to be traumatic. Does it compare to seeing the sudden death of your pet, your relative? What is the degree here? And while this MIGHT be traumatic experience for JA, I view ALL the trauma-drama of hers occurring AFTER the fact, not before; it is a cause OF her OWN actions she is locked up, can't sleep (bs), has lost her liberties.

What would be normal for the cause and effect response SHE created?

Why not ask Travis' family, his friends, his roomies, those who found him... ask THEM about PTSD! Bet there are a whole lot of people AFRAID TO DATE for fear of meeting a Jodi Arias.

Did Travis experience a sudden PTSD while she was cutting him down in the bathroom and butchering him in the hall?

No. He said he ONLY testified for the defense. He is career expert witness. That is how he earns his money now. And he further stated he had to "gain the trust " of his "clients", ie, make friends with them.

Because of his history working with sexual deviates, he probably rejoiced JA was so sexually liberated! And at such a young age. He probably felt badly when she talked of not being able to trust ALL those lying, cheating boyfriends.

Interesting. No notes to rely upon. Nothing brought to court. And he took his book home with him so Martinez had no time to examine the material he was quoting from. A tome introduced at the LAST MINUTE. Personally, because it was used as evidence, IMO, the judge was WRONG to let it leave the court without consulting with counsel.

the only thing I can think he's trying to excuse for her is her lies afterwards and being a douche on the stand... It doesn't change everything prior to arriving there...

Lady on NG said that 12 visits in 3 years isn't going to get you trusted by someone... she said it was horrible that he read from that book...

Martinez is listing his objections to the sudden changes Dr. Samuels will be introducing; in particular, this instrumental or expressive theories. Samuels was NOT to mention ANYTHING re premeditation OR his beliefs whether JA murdered Travis with or without premeditation; the court had ALREADY ruled this was the province of the JURY, NOT anyone else!

So. We see Samuels trying to skirt this issue by stating JA did not have the mental capacity due to PTSD to PLAN a murder...

but if he keeps altering her diagnosis on the stand lord knows what we'll end up with... I only caught bits but I couldn't believe this guy was adding stuff while sitting there... The fact that Dr. D's juror said he was organized? No, not hardly... he was all over the place and reading everything...

NO ONE was treating her! Huh? Inmates DO get free medical treatment while incarcerated.

Samuels stated he ONLY did forensic work in AZ, ie, testifying at this point in his career. I happen to think he resorted to that due to the lawsuit in NJ a short time before he MOVED to AZ.

His years in the practice are, IMO, working against him.
He has failed to update his work and incorporate newer studies;
he is like a record stuck on a 78 play when 33 and 45 and tapes and CDs have evolved.
He is too badly dated.
His work is skewered toward a general open society and NOT a prison population where it would be NORMAL to not have plans for marriage, etc., NORMAL to be fearful of tomorrow; NORMAL to have intrusive thoughts of yesterday... "If only" moments;he wants to believe EVERYONE coming to him is correct and honest with him despite JA being cognitive of HER situation, ie DEATH PENALTY. He wants to believe JA is honest not just with her feelings but in relating said feelings to him; HE IS A JACK ASS, IMO.

Yes, I remember it well. I would see that and sit there feeling terrible that she could be so flippant when her little girl was suffocated and lay dead in a swamp for months. The verdict was so shocking and unexpected I literally cried for days.

Fibers found in bathroom and on stairs may be from a throw pillow from bedroom. My theory is that she used pillow to muffle gunshot then it went with her along with other evidence. Gunshots are very loud, and at 5:30PM on a Weds. neighbors would be around, windows open, etc. Unless she used her father's silencer lol

There was no rope. She just trying to explain away evidence and have reason for knife being in room. No rope in any bedroom photos before or after.

State expert on rebuttal will probably say she has several personality disorders. I am certain JM has good expert to counter this load of crap from defense. I am bothered by jury questions that ask about Travis' gun or give any credence to her story. Maybe that's just how they jotted them down, but it worries me that someone believes any of part of her story.

Let's just hope any jury member slightly inclined to believe her will be an alternate. Suprised no jury dropouts yet. Very unusual to still have all 18 after this long. My hope is that they are all staying so they can send her to Death Row.

BTW, I was told, in CA at least, you have to have a FEDERAL permit for a silencer on a gun... JA stated her father not only did NOT have the permits BUT he had "lots" of unregistered guns. As did Darryl. And Matt. And Bobby. She just rolled right over all of them!

they might be asking because they're gun owners and have a reasonable idea what a gun owner will have with their weapon and TA seems to be missing all that but I don't know if it was said earlier in the trial that all this stuff was at JA's gma's house so with all the other guns and the date it went missing leads to believe that the gun is from there... I think they ask these questions to nail her down on info they know from common sense...

but these people that had these guns might notice more so if it came up missing then the little .25 old grandpa has...
