I don't think Nurmi can or will be granted permission for a last word after Juan. As someone here pointed out, the burden of proof is on the state, and as such they are granted the right of the last word.
I keep seeing things like the men of the jury are all paying such close attention, etc., and that is the stuff that makes me crazy and makes me worry.

It took me time to understand as I didn't see any importance in the religious point but she became a mormon not because of any faith but because she wanted to marry Travis. And she finally understood that she did all that for nothing...

Glad I am not watching for the same reasons Freckles and others mention---I'd be whipped into a frenzy, and probably for nothing. Juan has done this SO many times. I have to think he is sitting there and knows EXACTLY what his final words will be. He certainly knew where Nurmi would go. I still think there were things that were unsaid in his first go-round that he plans to talk about this afternoon. I think Juan will leave the jury with no doubt as to Jodi's guilt, and with sane and moving words echoing in their heads for the weekend.
