From a purely TECHNICAL standpoint and apart from what we all felt was appropriate for justice and the Alexander's, the DP would have given JA another spotlight.  She would have been the poster child for anti DP advocates; they would have seized on her notoriety to pursue their cause and JA would have relished that.  She would have been a pig in slop spending her time as Queen Bee of the Anti Death Penalty movement and would continue to find ways to manipulate and bastardize the legal system for all it is worth....on more of the state's dime because they would foot the bill for any and all appeals....year after year after year.  And what if the DP was overthrown in the future?  A technicality of some sort to be revealed and granted a re-trial??  Oh the horror.

With LWOP (I am being optimistic), she is simply a number.  A convicted murderer.  Premeditated with aggravating circumstances.  Going off to Perryville alive, and only leaving when dead.  Just fading off into oblivion with only one Final Judgment to face.  

While the grief is raw for the Alexander's now, I pray they can shut the door on JA forever come April 13.  They did Travis proud and fought the good fight.  Now is the time for healing.

Wow. Jurors saying that the one hold out came in with bias towards Jodi; that's why they asked for her to be replaced with an alternate. Just think how different this outcome could have been if JSS had replaced her.
