  And apparently, DOC doesn't allow any interviews at Perryville, so hopefully, we'll never hear from her again!

OFGS she felt as though she was being assaulted!??? Just wait 'til her friends and neighbours find out it was her then she will really need to feel as though she's going to be assaulted!!! She's going to have to move to Outer Mongola or some other remote spot. She is going to be hounded! As for the notorious lying manipulative POS who dodged a bullet by default, after sentencing April 13th the next time I want to hear anything about her is when she's been shanked in Perryville. I'm sure this is her fate, karma is a b...c.

I just listened to the jury interview.  I really do believe that they tried very hard.  They were at 11-1 for death since last Thursday.  After almost a week, they were still not able to sway juror #17 to agree with them.  Based on what the jurors said, it seems reasonable to assume that juror 17 was never going to agree even if they continued to deliberate for months.  I appreciate the jury's efforts and I hope the Alexander's can find some peace once Jodi heads for Perryville next month.  This is not the verdict for which the Alexander's hoped; however, the fact that Jodi will now have to fund any future legal counsel and all appeals will definitely cut-down or eliminate the number of times the Alexander's will have to be bothered by her in the future.

As for Jodi, I think she will be shocked by how much money she will need to finance any appeal efforts.  She will be surprised and frustrated when she realizes that her "supporters" are no longer interested in raising money for her now that she is no longer in the news.  Jodi's "fan club" will find another pseudo victim or cause and move on.  Family will probably not visit often since the donations will have dried up.  Not being "important" anymore will be simply devastating to Jodi.  Hopefully, she will not be able to afford appeals and the Alexander's will never again have their lives disrupted by Jodi's legal BS.

^^^Yes, indeed! I agree with all of this.  As to the part that I "bolded", we can only hope that the karma-train catches up with Jodi and flattens her on its tracks.

I was just sick for the Alexander family. However, perhaps after this sentencing is over, they will rethink this and realize this will be hell on earth for Hodi. She will not be able to afford an appeal, she will not be afforded media attention, she will not be afforded male company, she will not be a princess in prison. After she plays her manipulation games ( and you know she will) her prison mates will put a stop to it one way or another. She can piss and moan and cry all she wants, not happening for her....for the rest of her sorry life. Then she will face the harshest sentence of all. So this little rant is to say that hopefully JSS (she has to be good for something) will tell her Life, no parole..Buh bye

(Description of conditions at Perryville)

..."In the winter months, the heat is turned on by date rather than temperature. The heat runs full blast and the rooms get to be unbearably hot. The officers do not have the authority to turn the heat off, even if it is an unseasonably warm day. On a "warm" winter day, the room temperatures can reach the 90+ degree mark. The window cranks in most of the rooms are broken and do not open so there is no way to get any relief. This is absolutely cruel and unusual punishment.

...The Arizona sun can be punishing,. especially for those of us that have little or no tolerance for heat exposure. Lines for medical appointments, property pick up, state issue, and the store are often long. In the medical waiting area, shade and water are provided. Not much can be done to reduce the heat since the waiting area is outside. The wait can be several hours. The lines for property, state issue, and store are not in shaded areas. The wait is usually a couple of hours at best.

The mattresses in most of the cells are worn out. They are leaking black material of some kind. The coverings are cracked. The mattresses are thin and do not provide any kind of support or much protection from the metal bunks.

Many of the cells have cracks in the walls that leak rain water.

...Hot water for showers is not always available. Sometimes we have no hot water for days at a time. When this happens, there is no hot water for washing the trays or kitchen utensils either.

Monica Lindstrom: I looked back at my notes and I had written down that she had some previous experience with domestic violence and sometimes she would hit back and that she has two daughters. She was called into the courtroom individually to be questioned by the judge and the attorneys, though the questions seemed to focus on her domestic violence experience. I did not find that she disclosed she had seen "bits and pieces" of the movie, although, if she did, as long as she said she could be fair and impartial and follow the instructions and the law, she likely would not have been dismissed for cause.

I assume the judge had untouchable discretion not to excuse this juror?

Lindstrom: I wouldn't say "untouchable" discretion but yes, discretion. Had Judge Stephens dismissed and replaced her without enough cause or evidence, then Arias could easily argue an abuse of discretion by the judge and use that for an appeal issue. Judges have to be very careful about dismissing and/or replacing jurors.

...Do you feel this juror should have been removed for not participating in deliberations?

...They also stated they did not believe she violated her oath, there were minimal deliberations and she did tell them she didn't believe Arias was the monster that was portrayed in the Lifetime movie and she had psychological issues. So, playing the devil's advocate, she appeared -- based on their comments -- to have participated, at least to some degree. Based on that, it is arguable there was not enough to remove and replace her. Regardless of whether there was, the fact of the matter is that she was not and the judge made that call.

Tess, per AZL of WS, she said prospective jurors are always asked in voir dire if they know of any of the attorneys on either side...if #17 did NOT disclose that, AZL said that would be a really big deal. What the actual legal ramifications would be, she did not expand upon. But.....WOW

I just read over on websleuths that when JSS held juror #17 in Oct. to question her, it was because Juror #17 was to appear on Dr. Drew that evening. It turned out to be #17 from the first trial not the penalty phase.
