Thanks for the verdict...So glad he is free to go home to his children..I know he was sweating it out, hoping for the best but expecting the worse.

Maybe we should have wanted CA to be tried in Miami...At least those folk ask questions.

I'm glad AK was found not guilty. This case should not have been tried in the first place. Am curious what the jurors have to say. Do they think he did it but didn't think the State proved it's case or do they think heor do they think Lina died of natural causes?

I will say the two prosecutors who gave the closing for the state really turned me off.

I am hoping that tomorrow morning on IS that the jury will talk to the press. Can't wait until tomorrow!
Good for Adam. I am thrilled for him.

I just saw a reporter on fox say that the jurors just walked single file past the reporters and didn't say anything. I don't blame them.

I want to see the reading of the verdict. I only saw the celebration afterwards. I'm sure IS will have that on tomorrow.

If I bring lotz of Morning Joe (not that awful guy - but the Starbuckles beans) and blueberry muffin tops (who has time for the messy dry bottoms)...will you tell me what IS is reporting in the morning? Just the general gist...will others be here too?? Hope so....

I went to another site and left doing muffled snickers. They are verah-verah mad and ticked off about the celebration in the courtroom after most left. Was described as family theatrics. Tee-hee!

Mike Brooks just tweeted that tomorrow on IS they will have a lot of great guests to break down the case. Not sure what that means, could mean Sunny and company, but I don't know. I will be interested in any case.

I am very happy for Adam tonight. I bet he hugs those kids til he is exhausted.

Summer, I might have been on the same site. I agree, there were some Very upset people. However, those people thought him guilty during opening statements. They really never listened to the evidence or lack thereof. Very often in these trials, I think people are guilty, but in this one, not so much.

Michelle Sigona said she spent a long time interviewing people at the courthouse today, after the verdict and one of those she spoke to was the foreman, so we should get some insight.

Did that clip show how the judge reacted? What did she say? I would imagine she was quite ticked.

Didn't show the judge. You could hear her after the verdict and she sounded fine. Thanking jurors etc.

Hi everyone. Just getting back on and thanks to all for their updates and commentary.

For full disclosure, I haven't listened to more than about 80% of the testimony even though I was very interested in this trial. I only have about 6-7 trial watchings under my belt; and fully agree that everything - from first responders to the judge - were sadly lacking in professionalism, duty and responsibility. I also adhere to the mantra that it is better to set 10 guilty men free than send one innocent man to a wrong fate.

I believe the jury took its time and job seriously. And I cannot quible. However, my opinion is that by some action - or inaction - Adam may have/did contribute to the death of his wife... I cannot get past the unexplained deep neck muscle damage.

Legally I accept their verdict. Personally, I do not believe in his complete innocence.

Something happened...Lina is dead. 33 y/o healthly mother.

I don't know. I just don't know.

I thought it was just given the circumstances.

Weezie, your opinion is always welcome here no matter how diverse it is. We are all adults and can certianly accept others opinions even if we disagree with that opinion. You are safe here to speak your mind amongst us (at least me). If we all agreed, how boring would that be.
I believe that Adam was completely innocent. I worried about the "deep muscle" injuries until I heard Dr. M explain that "deep muscles" are 2 inches into your neck. He said from skin to spine is about 2 inches. That made me rest easy about the injuries. I don't think it was as "deep" as we all imagined.

I am glad you shared your opinion, I really enjoy hearing "the other side of the coin" so to speak. For me, I feel like Adam is innocent but sometimes my mind did wander and I would think maybe "this or that" happened and he did something to cause it. But then I would hear something during the trial and I would be back to Adam being innocent or at the least not guilty (which we all know doesn't always mean innocent) Truth is the whole story is never told in court for a plethora of reasons, one being, the courts aren't always allowed to allow certain evidence in, and another is that the state screwed this case from the start. So we may never know the whole truth. I can honestly say though, IMO, the jury did the right thing today and justice was served. Hope this made sense lol.

I knew I'd miss the verdict today (had my first mani and pedi ever) da-gone-it.
Just wanted to say congradulations to all who knew how this case would turn out.

angiefly2, I am just getting in, long day, had a a new cap put on a front tooth, it sucked! BUT! I just knew there would be a verdict by the time I could get on the computer this evening.

Although I thought a Not Guilty verdict was appropriate, you can never tell w/a Fla. jury.

I thought Adam's response was funny, he said: "There have been a lot of sidebars in this trial. Right now, I'm going to a real bar." I thought the 2 defense attorney's & Adam were going to cry, they were humbled it appeared.

This case had countless errors, imo, the State needs to take a good look at the mistakes made at the crime scene, the problems Dr. Hymi created by, imo, just being a lazy public servant,his testimony lacked any passion or real concern imo, I bet he really smarted for Adam reporting him for his bullchit excuses for the determination taking so long, if Lina's family hadn't been persistant, how many more months would it have taken? imo, Dr. Hymi needs to be reminded he works for the taxpayer's, they pay him handsomely, his arrogance imo, was embarassing.

Detective Howell, lied, but to add insult to injury, her exit from the Court Room just showed yet again, she isn't a professional, but someone that had to admit to an affair, ALL HER own doing, & the over sight of gathering evidence, too, was her fault. It's amazing to me, that at the time Lina died, Howell was a CSI Tech, how in the hell did she get promoted to Detective?

imo, the State reminding the jury, YET AGAIN, that they didn't call Detective An. because we would again hear about the salious details of the affair.

SHOUT OUT TO THE STATE: Detective An. owed the jury an EXPLANATION for the inept/shoddy job he supervised, happened AFTER the affair, this put the State's case in jeopardy. imo, the State must have thought the jury was just stupid, the half ass crime scene investigatiion was inexcusable. Surely the State understands this, well, I hope.

I don't know if Adam murdered Lina, but I am glad that a jury HELD THE STATE ACCOUNTABLE to proving their case, something they couldn't do, they couldn't even prove their alleged MOTIVE.

The State failed Lina, imo, at every single turn.

The 12-member jury began its deliberations around 10 a.m. after hearing the prosecution's closing rebuttal argument. During that presentation by prosecutor Matt Baldwin, a dramatic scene occurred.

Baldwin was trying to lessen the importance of a key moment in the trial: the testimony of the victim's mother, Frida Aizman, on behalf of Adam Kaufman. Baldwin asserted that Aizman only supported her son-in-law so she could continue to see her grandchildren. Aizman, who was sitting in court, blurted out, "Are you accusing me of lying?"

LMAO The prosecutors reaction was hilarious. They looked so pissed and the dude who gave the first closing was thrumming his fingers on the table.

And I don't see anything wrong with that family's reaction! The hug between the brothers was so sweet. Almost made me cry.
