He moved to Monterrey, 30 miles away. Wanted out of the staff housing.
JA and he started shacking when they bought a house together in Palm Desert, Ca, June 2005.

He moved there because of his son who was about 4-5 at the time.
Son was to live with them in shared custody.
Jodi was first female he dated during the divorce times;
kind of friend to "Jack" but not step-mother.
Plans for marriage ? Unsure but shared mortgage and house.
Hoped to stay there for at least 2 yrs and then possibly resell for investment gains.
Monthly payments on house was @ 1800 month. Split costs.
Looking for work in Palm Desert; Jodi was working at California Pizza kitchen and a restaurant.

Dec 2006: they lived together from 2005 until 2006.
Separate rooms but often shared the bed.

Summer 2006: Together about 3 yrs
JA did not show jealousy toward other females.
Did not show any violence.
@ 2006, JA got involved in PrePaid Legal.
She went to Las Vegas to convention.
JA was working two jobs until fall of 2006; his ex-wife moved back to Monterrey.
DB began strategy to return to Monterrey but wanted to continue payment on Palm Desert home. Possibly sell the house. Wanted Jodi to hold down the Palm Desert home; relationship with JA was falling apart; he was moving back to Monterrey.
JA became a "different person" than he had known previously.
JA became less responsible as she got involved in PPL.
JA stopped paying bills

PPL became her primary focus in 2006.
JA was only paying mortgage in fall of 2006 but stopped paying all other bills.
JA thought she would be prosperous with PPL, not as rational any more.
JA was spiritual but non-denominational Christian; 2006 she became much more active and with the Church of Mormon; she was studying it, prayer sessions in home; visitors to home... Caused behavioral changes, no intimacy, JA saving her self for her husband.
Had been intimate in 2002 it ended in fall 2006 with JA's interest in Mormon faith.

JA is bright eyed.
Her hair part has changed so I don't expect her to hide her face from the jury.

--Hughes was told he might be needed to testify, no reason given; prosecution paid for air fare; Hughes said prosecution inquired re Gus, Jan 27; prosecution and he spoke @ 20 minutes; prosecution asked about text message exchange between Gus and Hughes; Mrs Hughes knew Gus was on list; she took a call asking for Gus' phone number; prosecution had called the home before asking for phone numbers during last 4 years;
does not know if there were any or how many during the trial; speaking with witnesses (Gus Searcy) but does not know if his wife spoke re other witnesses; wife has spoken with prosecution re others but they might not be witnesses; Hughes did tell Gus they were watching the trial looking for BS; Hughes has not spoken with ANYONE up until the the travel arrangements.

Letters proven to be false: Not admitted into trial.
Did anyone tell you these were forgeries, etc? No, following the trial.

He thought it was the older bf, DB.

--- They spoke every few months socially, never dated her after the dinner date; he said def had made mention of Abe yesterday in court re ; did not know he was not supposed to watch TV or internet before yesterday; when he found out he was going to be called, he turned off the TV; last week the prose notified him he MIGHT be asking him to testify re Searcy's desire to testify; watched Searcy, Hughes, spoke to defense; then when he found out he was to testify, he turned it off.

Letting Travis believe HE had converted her when she was headed that way years earlier.

The biggest lie was regarding the trip to visit his sister.

While he was testifying, you could hear his moment of awareness: His voice dropped to a whisper when he answered, "Yes" on several questions.
His blinders came off, IMO.

She did NOT break up with DB to pursue Travis--- she had broken with him LONG before. About the time he noticed changes in her, Apr May 2006. About the time she got the cheap boob job.

Imo, the testimony by Daryll Brewer really sank Jodi today.
He was most believable.
His mentioning her boob job did not benefit her;
his mentioning the anal sex messed up the self defense claim, the claim Travis abuser her;
his mentioning Jodi telling him no sex until marriage as she was now "saving herself" for her future husband;
his mentioning Jodi taking the pics of him in the shower, shaving, naked show a pattern of sexual intrigue on her part as well as an invasive, controlling person;
her failing to contact his sister showed the alibi being established by Jodi, especially when she took his two gas cans, when she claimed she "got lost"; and DB had several "ah-ha" moments, IMO, when he answered the questions with a soft whispered, "Yes."

Then, when Abe brought forth the info Jodi and her prior bf and Abe did not know it was Travis she had been talking about all along.

Chris Hughes got irritated with the games the defense was playing; he repeatedly ask them to be specific if their questions and the atty responded with insults to Hughes; Hughes was questioned as to why he was watching TV news of the trial and Hughes informed him he had no expectations of being called as a witness.

This was NOT a good day for the Jodi team, IMO.
It may have been an excellent day for Justice for Travis, however. During one of the sidebars called by the judge, I saw Travis' sibs actually smiling and softly chatting.

This is good.
I had wondered why Jodi and the female atty representing her ALWAYS seemed to wear similar colors. Figured it was an attempt to trip up the witness, maybe, they were going to change seats one day?
Similar hair color, hair style and glasses.
Jodi IS many inches taller but she cranks her seat down so she appears more diminutive to the jury.

I am waiting for Jodi to stand up or maybe for the prosecution to ASK Jodi to stand for a witness' identification. It hasn't happened yet but I am hopeful she WILL stand.

A good point that was brought up on NG last night that I hope the prosecution follows up with... Gus said that when she was in his RV she got a phone call from Travis and excused herself outside for 40 minutes and then came back inside shaking and crying... They planted a seed that she was trying to leave Travis and he was calling her back upsetting her trying to get her back. Who's to say that it was Travis and he was telling her to go away don't come back leave him alone and it's over and therefore she had the same reaction? They really need to dig up that seed...

I still don't have mycomputer so I have to use my phone to try to watch the trial so I miss a lot... Why isn't Abe testifying in court to the fact that she said things like I don't know what I'll do if I lose him I can't be without him and stuff like that?

It was crystal clear after Daryl's testimony that JA is a user/manipulator. One glaring example was when he testified that they had only sporadic communication after he moved to Monterrey, basically "hi, how are ya doing" type of contact.

But then....on June 3rd - the day before she goes to AZ to butcher Travis, she seeks out and calls Daryl to borrow the gas cans, and becomes "testy" when he initially balks and questions her. IMO she was in planning mode and he was a patsy.

Gas Cans??? Sheesh - deja vu all over again and not in a good way!

Not only do we know why she needed the gas cans (so she could purchase gas outside of Ariz and never leave any traces of being there) BUT she further cements the premeditation AND her premeditated ALIBI by splitting up her purchases across multiple gas stations in short periods of time.

Why? Because smaller volumes of gas purchased intermittently may not raise flags as opposed to one huge receipt for large volume of gas.

So not only is she planning ahead for her murder but she is planning ahead with covering up her tracks.

Rental car (not easily traceable back to her)
Upside down plates
Enough gas for a long-distance trip purchased *outside* of the state
All receipts for purchases made go cold just outside Ariz (food, etc)

Wow - I bet if anyone finds those gas cans -- they might also find the resting place of the weapons

This was NOT a good day for the Jodi team, IMO.
It may have been an excellent day for Justice for Travis, however. During one of the sidebars called by the judge, I saw Travis' sibs actually smiling and softly chatting.

It was crystal clear after Daryl's testimony that JA is a user/manipulator. One glaring example was when he testified that they had only sporadic communication after he moved to Monterrey, basically "hi, how are ya doing" type of contact.

But then....on June 3rd - the day before she goes to AZ to butcher Travis, she seeks out and calls Daryl to borrow the gas cans, and becomes "testy" when he initially balks and questions her. IMO she was in planning mode and he was a patsy.

Agreed. Also they completely established that her so-called interest in her new religion-du-jour was more about landing a wealthy husband - not about paving the way to her Maker. I mean - abstaining from sex to save yourself for marriage (just a convenient excuse to stop having to boink a man double her age, if you ask me) COMPLETELY contradicts going out and getting a "have sex with me" boob job!!!!! You get a boob job to say "hey, look at the girls, don't you wanna touch em??" NOT, hey I'm reinstating my virginity. '

I think they missed a very good point here with Brewer.... the house they shared went into foreclosure 2007. It takes a very long time to reach foreclosure -- this means the mortgage was not getting paid for a very long time. Jodi was apparently not the only one having financial difficulty based on this evidence. Something was going on with Brewer where he was no longer cutting the cheese financially. Jodi tired of no longer having a sugar daddy and moved on to the ENTIRE male population at PPL as her sharkfest feeding ground for her next benefactor.

Not only do we know why she needed the gas cans (so she could purchase gas outside of Ariz and never leave any traces of being there) BUT she further cements the premeditation AND her premeditated ALIBI by splitting up her purchases across multiple gas stations in short periods of time.

Why? Because smaller volumes of gas purchased intermittently may not raise flags as opposed to one huge receipt for large volume of gas.

So not only is she planning ahead for her murder but she is planning ahead with covering up her tracks.

Rental car (not easily traceable back to her)
Upside down plates
Enough gas for a long-distance trip purchased *outside* of the state
All receipts for purchases made go cold just outside Ariz (food, etc)

Wow - I bet if anyone finds those gas cans -- they might also find the resting place of the weapons

I doubt you'd find anything that shows it is endorsed by the church, so I don't know if you can call it a "Mormon company". However, it's not uncommon for the head of a company to bring into his/her fold members of their faith since they would want the same ethics/similar goals and interests to be carried out consistently.

Not to mention he's no dummy for doing that based on the huge Mormon population --- he would have guaranteed business base by catering to that community and hiring from that community.

Not much different from my Italian relatives in the northeast - you'd think their businesses had been blessed by the Pope himself.

One thing for sure... we're seeing a whole different light into the Mormon community and the double standards and hypocrisy there. So it's not just the Catholics who have some pervs....
