Won't matter how much money these evil people dream of making off the pain of others. The assorted lawsuits will start rolling in and will put claim to those monies.

No amount of money will pay for the community rejection of these evil people.

I am saddened to hear of the expanding rings of influence the investigations are turning up. At the same time, flip over every rock and expose these monsters and their accomplices for what they really are. Society scorning will take care of the rest, IMO. Rejection may be painful to handle and may be the very best cure. Great for retribution. IMO

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- A young man who testified against Jerry Sandusky sued Penn State on Friday for its "deliberate and shameful" handling of complaints that the former assistant football coach behaved inappropriately and sexually toward boys.

The suit filed by the person known as Victim 1 at Sandusky's trial said university officials made deliberate decisions not to report Sandusky to authorities. It described their actions as "a function of (Penn State's) purposeful, deliberate and shameful subordination of the safety of children to its economic self-interests, and to its interest in maintaining and perpetuating its reputation."

The complaint was filed electronically in Philadelphia state court Friday night, Slade McLaughlin, a lawyer for Victim 1, told The Associated Press. The young man's initial accusations sparked the investigation that led to criminal charges against Sandusky and two university officials.

Jerry Sandusky Charity, Second Mile Trying To Postpone Shut Down

-- The charity for troubled youths started by convicted pedophile Jerry Sandusky said Monday that it will postpone a plan to shut down and transfer programs and assets to a Texas ministry until lawsuits against the charity are resolved.

The Second Mile had petitioned a judge to allow it to shift programs and millions of dollars in assets to Houston-based Arrow Child & Family Ministries Inc. The charity said it will seek to halt the transfer until the resolution of any damage claims filed by lawyers for Sandusky's victims.

Bentworth School District separates shower facilities

Revelations that convicted pedophile Jerry Sandusky molested boys while showering with them on the Penn State campus has prompted at least one local school district to build separate shower facilities for coaches and referees.

“This decision is a direct result of the Sandusky scandal,” said Charles Baker, superintendent of the Bentworth School District in Washington County. “Our athletic director, who deals directly with a number of referees, brought their concerns to our attention.

“We felt that creating a separate facility was a prudent way to protect our student athletes as well as the coaches and refs,” Baker said.

Sandusky, 68, is in jail awaiting sentencing for his conviction in June for sexually molesting 10 boys over a 15-year period. Some of the incidents happened in the showers in Lasch Football Building on the Penn State campus in State College.

Amendola said he has continued to warn Sandusky about plans to make a statement at sentencing to Judge John Cleland because going into specifics could return to haunt him if he eventually gets a new trial.

Sandusky remains in an isolated unit with 10 or 15 other inmates at the Centre County jail. Most fellow inmates have been "very nice to him," Amendola said, but one engaged in what the lawyer described as "mouthing off to him one night."

"Jerry says they're very sympathetic," Amendola said. "As a matter of fact, a number of them have said they're innocent, too."

hahahahaha....I bet they do. Pfftt.....

If the other inmates are understanding because the all are innocent, then I think it is time they put him in general population. I don't see why he is being protected when his attorney evens says that the inmates are very nice to him.

He'll be ... Penn State: Al Pacino to play Paterno

Al Pacino may have another iconic role in the works. He will play late Penn State University head football coach Joe Paterno in an upcoming movie about the Jerry Sandusky child molestation scandal.



Details about the film, which will be produced by ICM Partners, have not been revealed.

Pacino has a long list of high-profile performances under his belt, including turns in "The Godfather," "Scarface," and "Scent of a Woman".

Paterno died on January 22, after Penn State fired him for his role in the scandal.

Mike McQueary suing Penn State in whistleblower case

Mike McQueary, the assistant football coach who says he witnessed Jerry Sandusky sexually assaulting a boy in a Penn State locker room shower in 2001, is suing the university, claiming an employment dispute.

McQueary was put on leave late last year after he began receiving threats related to his role in the Sandusky scandal.

The court paperwork classifies the suit as a whistleblower case.

A spokesperson for the university confirmed today that McQueary is still on the payroll at Penn State, but the university can't comment because it hasn't received the court paperwork.

Lawyers want Jerry Sandusky hearing

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Pennsylvania prosecutors told a judge Wednesday they want convicted child molester Jerry Sandusky to be designated as a sexually violent predator under the state's version of Megan's Law.

The filing by the attorney general's office, seeking a court hearing on the matter, said prosecutors expect to rely on testimony from an official with the state Sexual Offenders Assessment Board.

Sexually violent predators are subject to intense reporting requirements upon release from prison, but that may not mean much in the case of the 68-year-old Sandusky. The former Penn State assistant football coach is likely to spend the rest of his life in prison after he is sentenced for 45 counts of child sexual abuse.

PSU pair ask to be tried separately

Defense lawyers asked a Dauphin County judge on Monday to split the criminal cases against former athletic director Tim Curley and retired vice president Gary Schultz.

ABC lands interview with Jerry Sandusky's Victim 1

ABC will interview the young man whose 2009 allegations of sexual abuse led to the Penn State scandal and the criminal conviction of former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.

Attorney Michael Boni, who represents the teenager known in court papers as Victim 1, said Wednesday that ABC landed the first interview with his client, who has a book coming out this fall.

It’s unclear when the ABC interview would air. ABC didn’t immediately return a phone message left Wednesday seeking comment. The New York Post was first to report the ABC exclusive.

BELLEFONTE — The judge in the Jerry Sandusky case is contesting a defense attorney's appeal of the order that the attorney reveal the names of those he gave trial and grand jury materials.

Senior Judge John Cleland said in court papers today that Karl Rominger did not comply with the order from June 26.

Cleland's order arose after a meeting among him, the grand jury judge, and defense and prosecuting attorneys about protecting materials that were not introduced at trial.

Court documents suggest ongoing Second Mile investigation, mention juror's ties to charity

BELLEFONTE — Closed-door conversations revealed in the transcript of the Jerry Sandusky trial drop hints that The Second Mile is under investigation.In a meeting in chambers during Sandusky’s trial, Judge John Cleland said that it was “general knowledge that the Second Mile and its various fundraisings have been the object of some investigations by some agencies.”

That closed-door meeting and another one focused on then-Juror 6 and concerns about her serving on the jury. She was later excused from jury duty — Cleland announced in court that she had become ill — and replaced by an alternate.

“She has been a source of some concern ...” Cleland said to attorneys in chambers.

Cleland had received correspondence from Ben Heim, CEO of Keystone Real Estate, saying the juror was an employee, and that he was concerned because both he and his father, Bruce Heim, were on The Second Mile board. Bruce Heim was a longtime supporter of the organization Sandusky started, even donating $2 million, according to the transcript.

There will be 85 seats at the sentencing that are reserved for the public, county court officials announced today.

The sentencing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Oct. 9 in courtroom No. 1 of the Centre County Courthouse. Public seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. McQueary, witness to Sandusky abuse, sues Penn State

Mike McQueary, the former Pennsylvania State University assistant football coach and witness in Jerry Sandusky's child sex abuse trial, filed a whistleblower lawsuit Tuesday seeking millions in damages from his former employer.

In filings in Centre County court, McQueary alleged the university defamed his name and treated him unfairly fired him for his cooperation with state prosecutors building a criminal case against Sandusky.

McQueary's attorney could not immediately be reached for comment Tuesday. A Penn State spokesman said the university would not immediately respond to the suit.

During the sentencing hearing that will take place tomorrow, there will be a hearing to determine if Jerry Sandusky is a violent sexual predator, the reason for this hearing is to determine Sandusky's classification in the prison system, also to determine what type of sex offender treatment program he has to undergo while in prison.

This hearing is necessary even if he spend the rest of his life in prison.

Jerry Sandusky will spend the rest of his life in prison for the sexual abuse of 10 children, after a Pennsylvania judge sentenced him to 30 to 60 years in jail today.

Sandusky, 68, would be 98 at his earliest possible release date. Sandusky will now undergo extensive evaluations, including his medical and mental health needs, health care, security level, and program needs, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

Sandusky's security will likely be an issue as authorities decide where to place him in the state prison population, as his case could make him a target for other inmates.

Jerry Sandusky languished the summer away in prison, scrawling what he intended as his opus to proving his innocence. But the 18-minute statement he gave in court Tuesday morning fell flat as Judge John Cleland sentenced him to between 30 and 60 years in prison.

The trial began with Cleland discussing if the defendant should be classified as a sexually violent predator, which could affect the number of years until he’s eligible for parole. He’ll serve no fewer than 30 years and no more than 60. According to MSNBC, Judge Cleland was stern and measured in his statement to the court handing down the sentence, recognizing fully that a minimum of 30 years would mean Sandusky would very likely die in jail. “The crime is not only what you did to their bodies but to their psyches and their souls and the assault to the well-being of the larger community in which we all live,” Cleland said.

But Sandusky and his lawyers were prepared for such a sentence. Though a number of the counts were tossed out, the defense team widely expected him to spend the remainder of his life in prison. “Whatever the sentence, because of the number of offenses and Jerry’s age, it is tantamount to life,” Amendola told USA Today. “We’ve talked about the possibility of this from the very beginning. It’s not going to be pleasant.”

Freckles - it's incomprehensible that Sandusky is too spineless to at least take responsibility, the lack of ability/or choice to understand the pain he's caused and the adult lives altered of the children he abused. It forever saddens me that the POS was in such a unique position to do good things for the children that needed a positive role model, instead, he chose to abuse them.

My girlfriend, a psychologist says Sandusky suffers from "narcissim," only one of many execeptionalities I'm sure and that "I have unrealistic expectations that he is ever going to take any personal responsibility."

I too am disappointed that some at Penn State are waffling on accepting the penalties that have been imposed, they too need to suck it up imo and realize the injustices that were done for years, sadly, with some having knowledge.

Does anyone think Micheal McQuery can actually get $$$$ claiming he was a "whistle-blower" in the suit he filed?

For those expecting remorse, an apology, a closing of the wound of sorts, what they got was a guy as dedicated to his wrongful conviction as he has been from day one.

Jerry Sandusky Will Spend Life in Prison With Cellmate, Work and Recreation Time

Sandusky will now go to Camp Hill State Prison, near Harrisburg, to determine where and how he will spend the rest of his life in jail. Officials from the Department of Corrections will determine his medical and mental health needs, as wells as his security needs as a 68-year-old pedophile.

"Danger is always a consideration but I think the people in the Department of Corrections would probably say they're very equipped to ensure the safety of inmates," William DiMascio, executive director of the Pennsylvania Prison Society, said.

Officials will then decide where to send him, likely to a low-security prison specializing in older inmates or those with psychological issues, including one in eastern Pennsylvania with many sex offenders. There are 26 prisons for men in Pennsylvania that Sandusky could be sent to, none of which have a special housing unit or facility for sex offenders, the department said. The system houses more than 50,000 prisoners.

Sandusky could be held in solitary confinement at the beginning of his sentence, though he will likely be transferred to the general population quickly, according to experts. He will then most likely be placed with other inmates of similar ages and crimes.

Amendola said he has continued to warn Sandusky about plans to make a statement at sentencing to Judge John Cleland because going into specifics could return to haunt him if he eventually gets a new trial.

Sandusky remains in an isolated unit with 10 or 15 other inmates at the Centre County jail. Most fellow inmates have been "very nice to him," Amendola said, but one engaged in what the lawyer described as "mouthing off to him one night."

"Jerry says they're very sympathetic," Amendola said. "As a matter of fact, a number of them have said they're innocent, too."

BELLEFONTE, Pa. - Jerry Sandusky stood before a crowded courtroom Tuesday and expressed regret - not for what he had done, but rather for what had been done to him.

In a rambling and offbeat soliloquy, punctuated by moments of sweeping self-pity and accusations of conspiracy, the man convicted of sexually abusing 10 boys bemoaned in Centre County Court what had become of his life since his imprisonment in the county jail four months ago.

He said he misses his wife. He misses his friends. He misses his dog. He is crying more and laughing less.

He said he had wondered if there was a greater purpose behind his incarceration. And he decided that maybe it was to help others, that the enormous publicity surrounding his case might prevent some vulnerable children somewhere from being abused.

"I would cherish the ability to be a little candle for others, as they have been a light to me," Sandusky told the court.

Listening, one of Sandusky's victims lowered his head until it hung nearly between his knees. A friend put his hand on the young man's shoulder.

This is EXACTLY why personalities such as Sandusky are so very dangerous...smoke and mirrors...look away - there is nothing "bad or wrong"to see here! The ultimate shell game. Rehabilitation is not an option with these types. Permanent separation from society is the only answer. IMO.

glazier - ITA, how in the hell does McQuery think he is ENTITLED to any monies from the suffering of these kids, in fact, if he too hadn't been so frickin spineless, he could have stopped a lot of the abuse years ago, though I don't think he deserved any charges, imo, he is NO HERO and doesn't deserve a penny. Of course, some POS attorney is willing to represent him in hopes that someone will offer him money to just go away and shut effing up. I too wonder about the statute of limitations on a "whistleblower case."

Completely agree with you both. How in the world and all that is good and sacred did he SEE a rape of a little boy IN PROGRESS, and just walk away? How could ANYONE do that? I strongly agree that he should not profit or receive any money at all for anything connected to this situation.

He is no hero. You both said it well.

And I personally hope Jerry Sandusky lives to be at least 100, and in good health, and spared the ravages of dementia. I want him to know every day that he is in prison forever for what he did to those vulnerable boys, over and over, for decades.

The State Employees' Retirement System notified Sandusky by letter that his crimes triggered forfeiture of his pension. The former Penn State assistant football coach was sentenced Tuesday to at least 30 years in prison for molesting 10 boys.

This whole situation has been a nightmare to a lot of people around here. I have co-workers from Washington Pa. that know people who grew up with this scum-bag. People's faith has been turned upside down. So many people have been hurt by this Monster's actions...it's just disgusting. I think a lot of people don't ever want to hear his name again

Alessandra - Holy POOP! I bet Dottie is about to have a heart attack over this situation, unless the Sandusky's had investments and savings, she's sunk, but she did get $ 50,000.00 back on the bond for Sandusky. Dottie had many opportunites to REPORT the situation in the basement but she chose not to, imo, though it can't be proven, I can't believe she had NO knowledge. Too bad JoePa didn't live long enough to be charged and probably convicted of his knowledge, I assume his family is safe in their millions of dollars in retirement they negotiated w/Penn State.. Drew Peterson is supposed to have a hearing I think in November about his pension, Brodsky said "they are not worried, the pension supports his children." glazier - I live in La. but have followed the case, it's been disheartening to see the level adult's have stooped to protect a pedophile. During Katrina, our State suffered terribly and some are still rebuilding, everytime there is a hurricane we are scared to death of the levees breaching again. This tragedy for your area is going to take years to heal, it's incomprehensible how long the abuse persisted. I wonder if the son that was going to testify against Sandusky is going to write a book on the family?

Letters by Sandusky, wife blame everyone else

The Sanduskys spared no one.

In letters to the judge who would sentence the former coach, the Sanduskys portrayed themselves as virtuous victims of a vast conspiracy. They blamed powerful, image-conscious forces at Penn State University, lying cops, ambitious prosecutors and a scandal-hungry news media.

For appellate purposes Sandusky was never going to accept responsibility or admit doing something wrong, but lashing out at everyone so strongly was irrational and certainly could not have been done to persuade the judge."

She added that Sandusky might have thought he was still playing to his Penn State fan base, but it backfired.

He wrote that he was heartbroken.

"My trust in people, systems and fairness has diminished," he said. "In my heart I know I did not do these disgusting acts. However, I didn't tell the jury. Our son changed our plans when he switched sides."

Dottie Sandusky also wrote of her disappointment, saying she has lost faith in the police and the legal system. "To think that they can lie and get by with the lies. The press has been unbelievable. People who have not met us are writing untruths."

In her letter, she unloaded on her adopted son, Matt.

Sorry but what the conniving, evil monster did was much more than malign another. He inflicted terrible physical, mental, and emotional anguish on CHILDREN who TRUSTED him. He used the college with NO regard toward the college, the football program, the other coaches, etc..

What an evil, arrogant SOB. His children and grandkids lose nothing by having this evil couple gone from their lives. They gain some mental peace.

What Dottie is stating is the adopted children NEVER were the equal and she probably felt they should be eternally grateful and falling down on their knees in appreciation of such martyrdom by Dottie and the Sanducky.

Sandusky gets to keep $ 900,000.00 pension!

Pennsylvania's public employee retirement system says Jerry Sandusky will get to keep more than $900,000 in state pension payments he received after his 1999 retirement from Penn State University.

The State Employees' Retirement System said Thursday it won't seek repayment of the money Sandusky received from 1999 to September 2012 because the state's forfeiture law does not authorize SERS to go after money paid before the date of a plea or conviction.

The agency notified Sandusky he no longer will receive his $59,000 annual pension after his conviction and sentence in the child sexual abuse scandal. Sandusky was sentenced Tuesday to at least 30 years in prison for sexually molesting 10 boys.
