===What are the odds the jury members have severed trauma themselves or knows another who has? They are going to throw this guy out with the dishwater. Absolutely stupid to try to insist a person who has undergone specific (or non-specific!) stresses will ALWAYS react in the SAME fashion each and every time!
I call BS on this!

Let's all pretend Jodi doesn't have borderline personality disorder.
Let's all pretend that the wooden spoons DID in fact cause her trauma. And let's pretend Travis did knock her down a few times - smashed her finger and such.
And let's pretend she was truly feeling and experiencing all this battered woman stuff.
And let's even pretend she truly was in a fog after the killing.
um, so what???????
May 26th through June 4th - what was all that nonsense? gas cans, removed license plate, cell phone off, etc.
What was THAT????

How would Geffy know what Dr. D testified to?
He is out of line and should have been shut down by Juan!
He has NO idea WHY Dr. D gave certain tests!!!
Keep in mind, HE never tested JA.
HE never even SPOKE with her let alone assessed her.
Now he is going to speak of intelligence tests?
Without testing her?
He said the tests are NOT relevant! Not at all!!

Beverly J. Clift Marks - The bottom line is Jodi butchered Travis-I don't give a flip if she has PTSD, personality disorder, diarrhea, migraines, lice, etc. etc. etc. None of this can mask what she did to another human being.

Mari--
How is it JA is in a FOG only with her OWN actions?
When she told Det Flores about the ninjas during the interview, she told them WHICH ninja had a gun... and which had a knife! She even told of them stabbing Travis.
JA confesses and goes into a fog?
Does that work for you?

OMGosh...I was thinking the same thing, JW is sooooo jealous of Dr. D, she should be wearing GREEN!

If the jurors are just regular folks like us (in my case I have slight irregularities), I think they will ask those questions in the jury room. No matter what pathologies JA has, it does not change the fact that she killed in a particularly heinous way. The defense is just dancing for time. Everyone connected with this trial is so over it. I believe the jurors can be included in that. the saving grace is that Juan doesn't mince words or dance...it will be a done deal when he is up. Just getting screechy out of the questioners box is the challenge.

Yeah, and she was trying to give her story to "comport" with the evidence. Remember her saying that???? She wanted to tell them about the Ninjas and shit - the sequence of events - that would match the evidence she thought they had.
So she EFFING knew. She remembered.
I hate her.
THIS is the main reason I think she did in fact shoot first. Only because she didn't know yet just how she should be lying in this case so I took her sequence as the ONLY part that was based on facts.
And that Dr. Horn said it was "possible" due to the decomp.

FACTS....Jurors are suppose to make their decision based on FACTS...so IF they do that and don't inject this "Emotional Garbage" into their deliberations..then they SHOULD come back with M1....buttttt....I figured "common sense" would prevail in the CA trial also...and we all know how that went

O.k., so uh, Dr. D's conclusions are wrong because she used a test that is 5 minutes out of date, and most likely is substantively the same, but Dr. G.'s conclusions are correct when HE DIDN'T EVEN INTERVIEW JODI OR SPEAK TO HER WHATSOEVER, LET ALONE ADMINISTER ANY TESTS!

exactly Bo and because of the lazy or flat out moronic pinellas 12 I refuse to get my hopes up on what this verdict will be..all I know is what it SHOULD be based upon the FACTS that were presented in that courtroom

That's exactly my problem too, Carla. I have realized that those jurors have forever altered my faith in our system and in justice for all. I have tried to put it behind me and write it off as an aberration, but have not been able to. This case has kept me up late at night worrying that another murderer will "get away with it" and another victim will not have justice...

Our judicial system is an adversarial one.
Other countries practice an inquisitive one. They search for the truth.
We exclude the truth to benefit the accused.
We say its because we don't want innocent people being jailed.
I guess its a fine line - but it just seems as this country becomes more and more liberal, killers are getting less and less time behind bars.
I know Texas and Florida mean real heavy business when someone is convicted, but it just isn't so in most cases.

I think this lady got sentenced to the looney bin...but i think she may be out now...I think she's "Cured"....That case SHOCKED me to the core on our justice system...and especially being out of Texas

Watching this trial from France, I can tell you that I think that our judicial system goes in the same direction. Compassion for murderers, ignorance for victims. The new thing I discovered and that we don't have (so far) is the "mitigation specialist". Attorneys are already twisting the truth, building fake stories, but furthermore, the job of some professionals is to search for any tips and tricks that will reduce the sentence of a killer. Astonishing.

Yes, her and Andrea Yates. Both crazy. Which honestly makes it even sadder. The mothers didn't WANT to murder their children - and when they become "cured", or realize what's been done, they are TRAUMATIZED.

She will use all the time she can. It is really stalling. The DT does not want Juan to have any time. This is disrespectful of the jury.

Really?
It is apparent Gaffy is bottom of the barrel for expert witness...
Well, if HE is not aware of what the problems were, I am sure Juan will clue him in...

OMG, this guy is also supposed to testify about the shot not incapacitating Travis' brain (LOL), and if he hasn't even gotten to that yet, how the heck does everyone seriously think testimony in this trial will be over today???
What really burns me up is that the judge bends over backwards to allow the defense to present every way- out, ridiculous thing they want to, and even after that, and after the judge makes it clear to all that today is IT---GET IT DONE, the defense still goes on and on with no regard or consideration for anyone else. They ignore the judge's admonishments, and could care less about jury fatigue. They hog the day, delay with endless sidebars and histrionics, and show no respect to the prosecution, their witnesses or the courts rulings.
That is why I made the decision NOT to watch the SUPPOSEDLY last day of trial. I can't sit here gritting my teeth and getting angrier and angrier.
I really can't see this winding up today as promised, and frankly, if I were Juan, the judge and the jury, I'd be ripped as he--.
