I love Juan. I hope he drops the sarcasm down a notch though. Effective for first half, but will be too much if its all day. He is awesome to do names, dates, places, times, all without notes. He knows this case like no other. Nurmi on his best day would be lost. This will be so anticlimatic tomorrow for him. Comforting to know that Juan gets the last word though.

I obviously don't know more than you all, but my guess would be that Juan will finish with his Part One at some point today....then KN will go. He most likely will spill over to tomorrow, and the beauty of it is that JM gets to finish up. I think JM wants to finish early enough tomorrow to have the case go to jury before day's end.

I am thinking that he's going to go through all the facts. I would speculate that near the end of his summation he may talk more about the pedo, and Travis life being taken away so heinously etc.,

I noticed during his timeline of events today he did not voice the masturbation accusation..in fact the only reference to that topic at all was a remark about the spiderman underwear.. I believe it is out of respect for Travis family...I have absolutely no doubt that once nasty Nurm has the floor we will hear more than we can stomache about every sort of sexual perversion known to mankind anyway.

Juan has a way to go yet. I think it'll be most of the rest of the day. You can bet Nurmi will take his sweet time. Juan has to have a little time for his rebuttal closing tomorrow afternoon. I really do not think the jury will be deliberating at all tomorrow. I think it is highly unlikely and wishful thinking. I feel they will seriously start the deliberation process on Monday.

I hope your right about Monday..my nerves finally settled so I think I will be good til it gets handed to the jury..I KNOW I am going to be crazy entire time their deliberating and I would prefer being that way in the privacy of my own home with no witnesses..lol

My father hasn't really followed this trial - he gets a few blurbs on KFIam640 - he's sitting here telling me she'll get 2nd degree.

I can't even digest my lunch right now! He's gonna get verbally assaulted! LOL

Self defense could work, in theory, if there was an indication that she stopped once the threat ceased. Premed can happen in an instant. The provocation had to be more than verbal. A reasonable person, fearing for their life, would have ran out of the door to flee for safety. He was unarmed, wet and naked. She was fully dressed down to the shoes. I can't imagine how they could come to any other conclusion other than 1st degree.

I sincerely cannot see anyone coming back with a verdict of anything other than murder one. If they do, it's a case of ignorant, Pinellas 12 all over again. I can't allow myself to believe that would happen. There are simply NO reasonable or logical ways to explain away all the evidence!

Especially since he had stab wounds in the back, in the head, slit throat at the end of hallway, defensive wounds to his hands. She had no wounds except to the infamous finger. her blood and his smeared on the wall. Not self=defense, not even close.

Juan hasn't mentioned quite a few things, at least not yet. If Travis had the gun as she has claimed, he had a gun with no gun cleaning paraphenalia, no bullets (except for one in the chamber), no holster, no gun safe, nada nothing. No porn found on his computer or his phone. Sex on his desk that was in pristine condition. Hardly looking like wild sex happened there. It will be interesting to see what he brings up this afternoon.

I actually look forward to the defense closing 'cuz I'm interested to see the creative spins they concoct to explain away all her bad luck.
I feel bad for the defense, everyone is entitled to be represented. I am fascinated with the spins.
