These jurors would be utter fools to be sucked in by the demons tears. Jodi's tears may have been actual, but they were whipped up to bring attention onto her and away from the Alexanders. She is ever the victim, and want's to be the heroine of her own sick movie.
If I were the Alexanders I would definitely NOT be in court Monday. They need for their own words to be their finale and their solace. They should stay away and let Jodi do her thing for the jurors only. I don't think they will be buying what she is selling.

I thought Samantha did a really good job of allowing the jurors to "walk" in their shoes so to speak. When she talked about going to clean out Travis's house-wow that really put you there with the family.

Under oath to God, in this court of law, SHE lied and lied and lied. She has tried tarnishing the name actions and memories of Travis for her OWN use and benefit.

A few more observations. I thought it was so great that the Alexanders spoke with their backs to Jodi and directly to the jury.
A line of Travis' affirmation: "I will forgive more...."
That is EXACTLY why and how Jodi got into his house that day and sucked him in again. He was too naive and thought anyone could change. I don't think he had any intention of getting back involved with her---We can be sure of that from the murderous tantrum, but he felt he had to listen and forgive her...
I think that answers a big question for the jury as well as speaks to the real Travis.

The best thing in the CA case was watching the public turn their back on CA.
They refused to acknowledge her very existence.
No more donations and no more for CA.
The love we had was for the child NOT those covering up her murder.

I won't watch this on any screen.
I have seen the reality of it on the internet as it has played out.
I wont use Travis' murder as an excuse to line the pockets of another...

Here's a comment someone put on this youtube video. I too was quite disgusted to hear their statements were edited by the judge.

"so they were made to face the jury, and not face the murderer .... and I read that their statements had to be edited to pass the Judge's approval. they have put up with more than their share of mistreatment throughout this trial, and the murderer has been more than catered to. I'm disgusted by this."

After pulling myself together, i can say that I so much admire these young people. They spoke from their hearts. They did not trash Jodi although they had the opportunity. They showed such class. They demonstrate what we all here know the type of person Travis was. He led them to be what they have turned into. Jodi could not destroy that although she tried. IIRC she said she would destroy the family if the State did not accept her plea. Well SHE COULDN'T. My hope is that this great jury will see that the only sentence is DEATH. She deserves the worst punishment. God help me for feeling this way.

That which spoke most to me was the celebration of Travis and his life of which the siblings spoke. They did not dwell upon his death but more upon his contributions to FAMILY, contributions to LIFE, and his desire to explore more, see more, do more... and especially to SHARE more.

Now this really gripes my butt! Sick and tired of Jodi getting her way.

Well, HLN reports that Samantha stared "daggers" at first Jodi and then her family as she went to sit back down, per Jinkasauras. I was wondering why she did it to the family, and I suppose it's either because of their reported collusion and/or the popcorn-eating atmosphere.

That's eloquent! On one hand, I wish they could have read that - on the other hand, HLN said what was said was a direct quote of one of Travis' favorite original sayings.

Years ago, I had this put on the little funeral pamphlet for my father.
I found it in his collection of writings.
The author was listed as unknown.
Maybe, google can help?

(Dad knew he was going to die and wanted to talk with me about his funeral. He was surprised when I located this and said it would be fine for me to read it at the graveside services. Dad was a simple man.)

He kind-of stumbled over the words, but said they were on and off for two years/two years ago or close to that, then added about how hard it is to leave them and talked about his little girl crying when he leaves. Has to be super hard, can't imagine.

This morning when the mitigating factors were written up thread, I thought they were written as a joke by someone. Imagine my surprise when I found out they were really what the Dteam was pushing as fact. Really, spare her life because she's a talented artist, has to be a joke, Right?
