I think it was about TA calling JA out for multiple BS. Tire slashing, snooping, hacking his accounts, sending fake e-mails from his account, money owed/car deal and loans, etc. She may have threatened to hire an attorney and claim slander or some other BS. She may have threatened to expose TA's sexual activity to the church. I imagine at that point TA had had quite enough and didn't really care about the consequences of being exposed at that moment in time and told her to "go ahead" while reminding JA that he could just as easily destroy her reputation. All just guessing on my part. I would like to know what was really going on in that conversation; however, Travis is dead and he can't tell us.

Maybe TA learned that JA taped the phone sex and she threatened to expose him. That may have set off the angry conversation in late May. I just remembered that she made a journal entry claiming to have lost her phone and "hoping" that it was not found because it contained "embarrassing" things.

I think the general consensus is that this discussion between T and J was about the fact that she had recorded the sex tape WITHOUT HIS CONSENT. (Hence the reference to JA saying she would call a lawyer.) J's brother said in interviews with prosecution that JA was planning to use the tape to send to future girlfriends of Travis to embarrass and humiliate him and as a 'persuasion' that they stop seeing him.
I agree with this general belief.
Travis already knew all about the stalking. He knew a lot of his friends knew too, and I don't think that was what he was talking about when he uses the term "evil".
I think the evil most definitely would have had something to do with something so unexpected and so horrible as to be almost unbelievable. The recorded sex conversation fits the bill, and perhaps Travis felt he had some legal recourse because he had no idea he had been recorded.
I am sure JA threatened not only to send it to T's prospective love interests, but I am sure she planned to send it to the bishop or an appropriate church official as well.
In the end, T had obviously had enough and was willing to call her bluff and to live through whatever fallout there was. I am sure that was one moment when JA realized her plan was NOT going to work and attempted blackmail had only gotten T. to dislike her more than ever. I sure believe this episode was one of the things that triggered her murder plot.

I think MOST of the crapo on the computer was probably innocently on there from the spybot etc., like the expert said. I don't think that JA put the sites on there, but she sure fabricated the infamous 'penis' photo that has been used and stated to be T. all during the trial. (I could never understand how THAT was allowed, when a close up of T's hands and the hands in the photo could have easily dismissed that allegation...

Yet there were hundred, thousands of other items of junk NOT viewed!

Could JA have changed the computer date to alter it?
IIRC, SHE stated Travis had told her on June 4, 2008, he could not play certain items she had brought with her because he thot he had a VIRUS on his computer. (This only tells me, since SHE is volunteering this, SHE wants us to look in that direction.... of the computer. Which means SHE had inside knowledge of something in re the computer....)

I don't trust anyone who would intentionally steal rings from another person ... an engagement ring and then the banquet awards ring she said Travis had GIVEN to her! BS call.

I hope that you are right and the reasons behind that e-mail are known and will be released later. That angry exchange may well be the catalyst to the murder because it seems more than coincidental that JA staged the robbery at her grandparents home only a day or two later. Tracing this back:
She could not make it financially in AZ;
She then had to "take" something... the car, the rings;
She left with hopes he would come to her control OR she had a back up plan for "persuasion";
He stood his ground;
He refused to let her control him;
She stage the break into the grandmother's house;
She cut herself at work to force employer for time off;
She planned the trip and carried it out...
She lined up the males for her alibis;
She placed the phone calls to look all innocent....
Did she tamper with the data on the computer to BACK DATE it to June 1,
could she have planted the virus remotely?
It really does not matter but just trying to put all the pieces together.
I would love it if Det Flores wrote a book on this....

Yes, I think this is a completely reasonable scenario. This conversation was clearly a game changer as JA immediately sprung into action by staging her little robbery to obtain the murder weapon. I agree with you that this porn nonsense should have little to do with anything since it has been clearly shown that there was no child porn involved. Travis was a grown man and it was within his rights to look at any amount of porn that he so chose to look at. Looking at porn on a computer provides no justification for his murder and does not prove domestic violence against JA. DT needs to move on and try to propose some real mitigating factors.
