It was reported by prison officials the party taken into custody had dyed/painted his body RED under the flack vest. Even his gloved hands had been painted red. The booking pic shows a suspect in an orange top with white TEE shirt under; the top of the neck is visible. It is NOT red. Rather odd.

We have all dyed Easter eggs, made jello, etc., and know how difficult it is to remove food dye from the skin. That would be the simplest dye to obtain. (Rinse him in vinegar and he will be good forever as a red-man.)

Why would anyone look for a package from Holmes?

BTW, did any of the victims report the perp SPEAKING or saying anything at all? Could they see his face to notice any facial gestures? Were his body movements smooth or jerky? etc.

his eyebrows are uneven and asymmetrical. And you can see it in all the pics.His right one is lower and has a rounder arch.
That's why trying to match the two sides wouldnt match. I think an overlay would show better. I see same chin, ears, jawline.

I also think it is the same guy. The general shape of the face, the distance between all features (with eyes being somewhat, artistically speaking, too far apart... both photos show same, slight non-focus of pupils)... shape of the eyebrows, jaw line, "adam's apple" the same in all photos. The ears are the same, bone structure. In one he is closed mouthed smiling and it stretches the lips outward and, in the other photo, the lips not relaxed, causing some inward stretching.... finally, a slight tipping backwards of the hear in the mug shot appears to straighten and thin the nose.
I think if we study photos of anyone we can find these "differences" relating to mood, angle, lighting, etc... it's why we, ourselves, if we had to pick out a few photos that many would see, for example to post on our Facebook page, we will go through a group of photos of ourselves and pick out the ones we like best. We know we don't look the same in all of our own photos and we will say such as,
"This one makes my nose look too big." or "I like my eyes in this picture." or "Look at the awful facial expression I'm making in this one."
(Those kinds of differences is all I see in these photos of Holmes... and check out how different the "two noses" in both red haired photos look from each other... yet we know both red haired photos belong to the same man. Also, one more thing... the second red haired photo above looks more like the school ID photo.. because the relaxed "semi smile" is stretching the mouth outwards. The first mug shot photo mouth looks nothing like the second mug shot photo mouth, yet again, we know it's the same person.)

In the filing released Friday, Holmes' lawyers say that after law enforcement executed a search warrant at the University of Colorado-Denver this week and seized the package addressed to Dr. Lynne Fenton, someone leaked information about it to the media — including allegations that Holmes had alerted law enforcement to it. The release of such information would violate a gag order issued by the judge in the case.

Court documents filed today by the defense team of the alleged Colorado shooter reveal for the first time that James Holmes was seeing a psychiatrist.

The documents also confirm news stories that on Monday, Aurora Police seized a package sent by Holmes to Dr. Lynne Fenton, a psychiatrist and assistant professor at the University of Colorado, Denver. The defense says Holmes was a "patient of Dr. Fenton."

"The materials contained in that package include communications from Mr. Holmes to Dr. Fenton that Mr. Holmes asserts are privileged," the defense team writes.

Hinky's Mimi, I agree with what you wrote above. In these 2 pics, I see his left ear as being the same. I wish the FB pic that said how many people have one ear that sticks out further than the other would have used this pic as a side by side comparison, because to me they're the same. Also in the mugshot if his head was tilted more downward, the nose would be a match too.


These 2 I would say the ears are the same. The reason I think they don't look identical I think is because the one on the right looks cropped to remove the background, and anytime you try to crop the background out, it sometimes alters part of the forefront picture too. Also in the mugshot his head is turned slightly to his right. He's not looking straight ahead as on the ID pic, so the mugshot shows his ear more on an angle.



These 2, the ears and the lips look the same, and on the orange hair pic, it shows just how much nose he has, so that it would be totally possible for all that excess nose to flair out as shown in the ID one on the left.

I posted here the information about the psychiatrist who was allegedly seeing Holmes because it is public information, it is readily available on the Internet, and is related to the case.

We routinely post the names, pictures, and credentials of lawyers who are representing people who has been charged with heinous crimes, there is no reason for anyone to assume that the lawyer who is representing a defendant, in any of the cases that we are following, has something to do with the crime.

Tamta, I completely agree with you. As you well know, had she believed he posed a threat to himself or others, she would have sought hospitalization for him. It is obvious he was troubled, and might very well have presented with symptoms of some form of psychosis, but at this point, no one knows for certain what his diagnosis is, whether or not one has even been made, if he had been prescribed any form of medication, and if so whether or not he was compliant. Bottom line, her identity is irrelevant until and unless she is called or named as a witness in court released documents.

Hold on, hold on, hold on!Let's not jump to conclusions.
IF Holmes was seeing a counselor.....what would be so unusual about that? Do we still have stigmas attached?

For many people involved in higher employment, counseling is a requirement of the job! The question should be WHY was he seeing a counselor? Was it job related?

The gov't hires many "civilians" to do work for it. Many scientists and universities have participated in special gov't research programs. Paid to carry out specific duties or research. And many of these persons are REQUIRED to "check in" periodically with counselors. (Reminds me of Scientology.)

The counselors, however, are called, "handlers". Ask anyo9ne in the FBI, CIA, DOD, etc..

Did he do it on his own volition or at the beck and call of someone else?
Was it part of a "plan" by someone else and he was the flunky chosen to carry it out?

Ashley Moser, the mother of the youngest victim killed in the shooting, was pregnant and was shot in the neck and stomach during the attack July 20. The family said the trauma that Moser sustained caused a miscarriage and that she underwent more surgery on Saturday morning.

ABC reported that Holmes' mother said you have the right person (inferring she was talking about her son).

ABC reported that James Holmes (Jim Holmes) may have connections to the Tea Party.

All three of these reports were "incorrect". In this case, as in other cases, ABC is reporting without vetting and the public thinks they are being given correct information.

Reminds me a bit of how different I looked occasionally in college after pulling an all nighter studying or partying. Sometimes I'd look in the mirror and not recognize myself!
If he was seeing a psychiatrist but not taking his meds, this would be very common for schizophorenics. The paranoia they suffer from makes them frequently resist the meds- they often believe people are out to harm them and are not compliant. Add to this he is of an age where you are suddenly beyond the grasp of anyone's guardianship and they cannot legally do a thing to help you or force you to take meds, and you start to see why families are rendered almost powerless to help.

According to 7News, which cited state records, Fenton was reprimanded for prescribing medication to herself, her husband and an employee. The medications, prescribed in the late 1990s, included prescriptions for Vicodin, Xanax, Lorazepam andAmbien, according to 7News.

Fenton was also reprimanded for failing to maintain a medical chart or to enter appropriate entries for the charts relating to herself, her husband or the employee, 7News reported.

As part of the reprimand, Fenton had to complete more than 50 hours of medical training and to promise not to prescribe medications to family members or employees, according to 7News.

Dr. Wojciech Zolcik has 15 years experience working with psychiatric patients and is medical director with Community Reach Center in Thornton.

"You really have to have a specific threat made against someone. You need to have somebody say, I'm going to go and kill, 'Blah blah blah…'" said Zolcik.

"But that, 'Blah, blah, blah,' has to be a specific person's name?" asked Zelinger.

"Correct. Yeah, that's the only way we can actually report a threat to anybody," said Zolcik. "Definitely, when someone comes to you and has a specific plan as to what they would to, then yes, it would be something that you would report; I would report."

When it comes to the package delivered to Fenton, the contents could be considered confidential unless specific threats are identified.

"Any communication that goes between the doctor and the patient is confidential, as long as it does not affect the welfare of the patient himself or herself or anybody else," said Zolcik. "When there is a suspicion of a threat to someone else, confidentiality goes away."

The judge ruled no camera's in court?

They are saying Holmes was charged with 142 charges.

142 counts

12 first degree murder charges,
12 extreme indifference to value of life,
116 attempted murder charges.

Two other matters expected to be addressed during Monday's hearing — a debate over whether a notebook Holmes allegedly mailed to his psychiatrist is privileged doctor-patient communication and a motion by the news media to unseal the case — were pushed back to later hearings.

Attorneys will discuss whether to unseal the case at a hearing on Aug. 9. Holmes' attorneys said they would be opposed to any unsealing.

The two sides will debate the notebook issues on Aug. 16.

What Monday's hearing made abundantly clear, though, is how drawn-out the case will likely be. Prosecutors said they will begin sharing investigative files with the defense team — a process known as discovery — this week. Deputy District Attorney Rich Orman said roughly 2,000 pages of police reports have thus far been turned over to prosecutors, with more to come.

They keep repeating 142 counts, but last time I looked 24 cts of murder, plus 116 cts attempted murder equals only 140 cts.

That is absolutely terrible that she has gone through so much tragedy.
So sad, and so unfair.

I feel so deeply grieved for the victims and their families, their friends. This is truly ungodly! Each story is unique and so bitter-sweet only in the fact of those who did live. But the price they have and will pay. The nightmares will be there even for those who never attended the theater that night.

The last time I had read here she appeared that she was going to keep the baby. I am so said that she had a miscarriage. I don't know how she is going to over come this losing her 6 yr old child then the baby she was carrying. I fell it will be a very long rode of recovery for this women emotionally more then physical. This is truly heartbreaking.
