I think being on parole or probation is what prohibits you from contact with another felon. Just being a convicted felon won't do it.

Donovan might still be on probation but not sure.

Could the jurors have informed the court they DO have a verdict? Sposed to give a 30 minute notice. Probably the time needed to get the families into the court, the attys into court, and JA into court...

I still have court seal...

freckles I can't remember if it is annouced then you get 20/30 minutes to get there or they're told ahead of time...

I have yet to be aware I have caused any accidents but I once stopped in the middle of a busy interstate in SoCal just because a puppy was sitting in the fast lane... and I was doing over 65 mph at the time! (Pity is, had I paid attention to the slower lanes I would have seen the semis, too, had already braked for the little one.) Oh. He finally stood up and walked off the roadway but he left me VERY shaken and a better driver.

I agree with you totally. This is terrible. IF there is a holdout, for God's sake DON'T deal down. Call it hung. Give the Alexander family another shot at justice. As horrific as another trial would be, if I were Travis' family, I could not live the rest of my life knowing that there would never be justice for the murderer of my brother. I would sooner take my chances with another trial than have jurors 'cave' in a misguided attempt to just render a verdict, any verdict, and assume that something was better than nothing.
This family has suffered enough. Wish those 12 would get their act together and give us all a murder one verdict, or say they have failed. I think the waiting is probably the worst torture...

Maybe they're doing a process of elimination and going over why it can't be HoP/SQ, MS, M2, and are narrowing down exactly how it's M1... I think because you literally have someone's life in your hands and it's pretty clear what happened to TA you don't want people to assume you went with a verdict all willy-nilly... you put thought into and are confident you voted correctly and justly...

I agree, Bmore. I think they are taking their time going through the instructions to apply the law to the evidence they reviewed and discussed.

A definite possibility. I hate that the TV personalities keep alluding to a "holdout". I just can't see anyone not seeing that this is a premeditated murder, especially if one is uncertain, and the others are doing their best to reason with that juror.
I am cautiously saying that I really think that if this jury was really far apart in their thinking they might have wanted to come in and start deliberating earlier than they did....Of course someone mentioned that one member may have had an appointment or something.
I still think the biggest mistake would be for the jurors to deal down to a lesser charge in order not to be a hung jury. I really hope that does not happen. I also think it is way too soon for that. The jury in the Scott Peterson took days and days, which was a real suprise, and agonizing I am sure for Laci's family, but they ultimately came back with GUILTY.

Wouldn't this be the same person who would bring the verdict papers and/or notes to the judge, such as requests for evidence? That is what my understanding is.

A second trial would be NOTHING like this one. All the hype will be gone. And she will be BOUND by every effing syllable and LIE she has muttered on the stand.

I think so 18... also, I said maybe 1 had an appt so that's why they were late... You never know, there could be a simple reason for everything...

Is it just me or does time seem to be standing still this morning? I swear between 9:30 and 10:am the clock seemed to crawl at an usually slower than normal pace.

It's very simple really, they should have by now had a vote on M1. If they agreed on that it should have been a slam dunk and verdict by now. The older I become the less patience I have. Lol

The in between the shooting and the stabbings and the decapitation - there is NO way to find her not guilty of pre-med. Even if you don't buy into the gas cans and license plates and cell phone being off.

The in between the other schitt is most def pre-med.

So if this schitt takes any longer, then there is one rogue juror trying to f'k up our world even more and maybe even get their 15 mins on HLN's Wall of Fame/Shame.

This is EXACTLY RIGHT! Everything that she said would be used against her in a new trial. She would have another public defender, and all the hype I am sure, would be gone. I think it would be a far shorter trial. As distasteful and agonizing as this would be, I can only reiterate again that I sincerely feel the family would much prefer a hung jury to seeing a verdict that would be a slap in the face to their loved one and a slap on the wrist to the killer!

it's like a road trip Moosie... even on the exact same route it takes longer to get there then to get home... it has to be an atmospheric anomaly... lol just making you think that...
