JA is in a holding cell in the courthouse all day for as long as the jury deliberates.

Thanks, for the reality check, Bmore, and yes, I believe there really is some type of time warp continuium that shortens trips home.

For the verdict she should be in street clothes. The following trials - whether there is cruelty - and the penatly phase - I think she would then be in prison garb. Cuz she's already convicted so no need for My Twinn Stabby accessories.

General: I already gave an epic score for JM. I'd also like to submit this song for Travis, his family and his friends: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHsc3XmALC0 (same artist who composed the epic score for JM - what a difference, eh?)
I'd like to submit this one for the appropriate title (End Game): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjE_MMpyrjs in hope that the jury will do their duty, remember the lies, remember the smirks, remember the gruesome pictures...
I use music to relate how I feel - I'm weird like that. I accept that and I apologize if it gets in the way >>
Wow. Thank you Fire&Blood! The rememberance song/general especially- just wow. Brilliant. Within the first few bars (?sorry, not a musician here...) emotion just rises to the surface. Sooooo beautiful. How lovely. Wish that was playing in the background as all wait for a verdict. Jury included. Brings peace. Facilitates connection...to each other, to the fragility of life, to the beauty that exists at the core. Wowie.

Unanimous decision: Leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary glaze we're having for lunch is absolutely delicious. Wonder how JA's baloney and cheez whiz sandwich tastes. Who had a heart attack when they saw the verdict bit? LOL

Re: Jodi Arias--Trial for the murder of Travis Alexander #19
I am sorry, but that's my honest opinion.
TV people keep saying Nurmi poked holes in states case with his 'why didn't she just shoot him when she arrived, or when he was sleeping?', etc.
Can it really be possible that no jurors on this case can get past that, or use their imaginations? Juan said it briefly---she wanted him. Is it so hard to believe that she wanted to get him into bed and possibly had secret hopes that she could defuse whatever she had done to make him tell her she was the worst thing that ever happened to him? Is it so hard to believe that somewhere inside she deluded herself that there was a possibility that Travis would tell her he loved her and whisk her off to a Cancun sunset? I don't think the fact that she chose her time for whatever reason negates the painstaking premeditation!
She still killed him THREE TIMES!
They are also saying why didn't she just shoot him and be done with it. Jodi brought the knife with her, just as she brought the gun. Sure, the noise of a gun might be a consideration, but Travis' house was all closed up and the central air on.
I think Jodi wanted to inflict PAIN AND TERROR. I think she wanted to choose her time and wanted Travis to see her face when she stabbed him. I am sure she was screaming at him as well, venting a lot of rage. This was all part of the plan.
Can't the jury see that this was obsession and jealousy motivated, and understand that she WANTED TO HURT HIM?
I can't think of one thing the defense said in their closing to justify any of the other verdict choices, and I can't understand a jury 'hang up', if there is one.

We have been discussing this for months. They are just discussing and need time. I am trying to stay positive. The one good thing is that after JA put them through torture by trial; they are putting her through torture by "waiting". I hope this terrible on her.

Someone help me if you can. I may be dreaming, but I seem to recall that in the Scott Peterson case there was one male juror who dug in his heels and would not agree with all the rest of the jurors. I believe he refused to deliberate and honestly argue the points, and I think he was removed from the jury during the deliberation and an alternate brought in. Just wondering if someone recalls anything like this?

Re: Jodi Arias--Trial for the murder of Travis Alexander #19
Remember that they don't have the luxury of ALL that we know, ALL that we've discussed and either tossed out or massaged to understand it better. We've been doing that for 4 months, they've been deliberating for just 10 hours. IMO, it doesn't mean they aren't for M1. It simply means they are taking their time and doing a thorough job.
But I'm still waiting first in line for Mari's xanax if this goes beyond today...

Yes. The rogue jurors were dismissed. You can't be OBVIOUSLY rogue - or you get booted. You have to "deliberate". You have to argue.

IIRC you are correct about the Peterson trial.
You are right about the Alexander family but in trying to keep positive it was the only thing I could think of... Torture Jodi! I hope the Alexander family can remain positive through this utter HELL.

Listen, we're kinda smart when it comes to this stuff. Not all jurors really understand anything at all about law and how to apply it. Some of those instructions were like run-on sentences.
They might be "learning" right now. Some of them could actually believe Travis attacked her - just that alone could cause them to have to "educate" themselves on the law. No matter if Travis attacked her - there is still pre-med in this crime.
Could just be some of them are being educated right now. Long process if this is your first time really understanding murder charges and how you come to determine what they are.
Plus, Arizona is different than here in California - so I kinda got an education with this case, too.

18, one thing to think about, its so different when we sit here and things are so obvious to us and we say M1 DP. No question. However, on the flip side, these people have another person's life in their hands. It is not so easy to be glib then. It is a huge responsibility and burden. They want to go thru things to make sure their decision is the right one. I don't begrudge them this. I was called for a murder trial once and did go thru voir dire but did not make the jury. The judge explained to us before the attornies started questioning us that this was a death penalty case. we would have to declare our thoughts on the DP etc. The feeling was one of enormous weight. So, when they have the verdict it will be so that they can live with themselves after this is all over.18thcenturylady wrote:The one thing I keep trying to hold onto is that I can't believe that a majority of the jurors would not see that this is clearly premeditated murder, (murder one).
