The family of the 49-year-old pregnant woman who was found after disappearing for almost a week released a statement Tuesday saying they're no longer expecting a new addition to the family.

Deputies located missing North Carolina woman Carrie Bradshaw-Crother at a gas station Monday after her ATM card was used at a nearby CVS, WSOC reported. The mother – who disappeared one hour before her scheduled C-section for a high-risk pregnancy – was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

"I was very relieved, it was a joy to find out Carrie was okay and alive and soon to be safe," her brother Drew Bradshaw told WSOC. At the time, Bradshaw declined to comment on the state of his sister's pregnancy. "Carrie is doing okay," he said. "She's in the hospital still being evaluated. We are unable to release a whole lot of information about that."

On Tuesday, a statement was posted to Drew Bradshaw's Facebook page on her family's behalf. "While it is unfortunate, we no longer expect a new addition to our family and ask for your continued prayers," the statement said.

Oh, no. I was so hoping the baby and the mother were doing okay... both of them! Sad

Obviously, since the mother is healthy, there was a good chance the mother could have saved the baby had she gotten 911 help... The baby would have been 8 1/2 months along... That is terribly sad.

Young killer nears prison release, seeks fresh start

"....HOMESTEAD, Fla. — The majority of Catherine Jones' 29 years have been spent in prison. Before that, they were spent languishing in the hell of sexual abuse at the hands of a family member.

Catherine was only 13 when she plotted — with her 12-year-old brother Curtis — to kill their abuser as well as their father and his girlfriend, Nicole Speights, whom they thought were allowing it to continue.

They became the youngest children in the country's history to be charged as adults for first-degree murder.

The siblings started by shooting Speights with their father's handgun, hitting her four times out of nine bullets fired....."

"..."After spending all of my teenage years and most of my young adulthood behind bars, I'm being released into a foreign society so different from what I left behind," she wrote in a letter to Florida Today last year.

"Of course there are fears, mainly because there's so much I must learn to function like a normal person: how to drive, fill out job applications, text, dress for a job interview, build my credit, obtain life, dental, medical insurance. I'm completely clueless. The idea of being 30 and completely dependent on others to teach me how to do these basic things isn't appealing. I'll leave prison just as clueless as I was at 13."

Searchers found the body of a former White House chef who vanished more than a week ago on a solo hike through New Mexico mountains.

Authorities did not release 61-year-old Walter Scheib’s cause of death.

The body of Scheib — who cooked for Presidents Clinton and Bush, their families and their White House guests between 1994 and 2005 — was found Sunday night just off a hiking trail in Taos, N.M.

He was last seen on June 13 when he set off for a hike through the Taos Ski Valley. When he didn’t come home, his girlfriend reported him missing the next day.

Second Houston-area teen convicted in occult killing

Corriann Cervantes / KHOU

HOUSTON - A Harris County jury has convicted a second Houston-area teenager of murder in the death of a girl who prosecutors say was killed as part of a satanic ritual.

Jurors on Friday found 17-year-old Victor Alas guilty in the February 2014 death of 15-year-old Corriann Cervantes at a vacant apartment southeast of Houston. The conviction carries an automatic life sentence.

Authorities investigated the case as a satanic ritual killing because a cross was carved into Cervantes' abdomen and because of objects found at the scene. Investigators say the girl had been tortured and sexually assaulted, according to CBS affiliate KHOU.

Alas' attorneys say they couldn't overcome a videotaped confession he gave to police.

Jose Reyes, then 17, also was convicted and received a life sentence last December. Authorities have said the pair hoped to make a deal with the devil by killing Cervantes.

Candace and Matthew Blakely

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) An off-duty sheriff's deputy who killed his wife in what he called an accidental shooting at their home is charged with involuntary manslaughter and has been fired, authorities said Monday.

Officers said that when they arrived at the couple's North Augusta house Saturday night, Deputy Matthew Blakley ran outside with blood on his hands, identifying himself as a deputy and telling them he had shot his wife in an accident.

Officers found his wife, Candace Blakley, 24, in a bathtub bleeding from the head. A second man with bloody hands said he tried to give her CPR, but she was already dead, according to the police report.

A broken wedding ring, an M4 rifle — commonly used in the military — and a spent shell also were found in the bathroom, according to the police report. Several other guns also were found throughout the house.

North Augusta police turned the scene over to the State Law Enforcement Division, and an agent charged Matthew Blakey, 23, with involuntary manslaughter. The charge accuses Blakley of showing reckless disregard to the safety of the person killed. It carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison but doesn't require jail time with a conviction.

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office fired Blakely after he was charged. He had spent seven months as a deputy and was taking classes at the state Criminal Justice Academy.

Young mother’s body found in the woods after she apparently met up with man she met online

Posted 7:07 pm, June 22, 2015, by Katie DeLong

WASHINGTON — A young mother of two boys has been found dead in the woods in Washington state. This, after she apparently met up at a bar with a man whom she met via an online dating service.

~Snipped~

Q13 says White was last seen earlier this month. She was reported missing one day after meeting up at a bar with a man she met via an online dating service.

“She didn’t show up for work, didn’t come to get her boys, which is very unlike her. She would either call if she was going to be late or text — something,” White’s cousin, Dana Johnson told Q13.

White’s vehicle was spotted over a ravine, and search dogs led investigators to a nearby pond. But White’s body wasn’t found until this past weekend.

The man who was on a date with White the night she was last seen is in jail on an unrelated weapons charge. He is considered a person of interest in her disappearance.

Epstein -Clinton sexual "escapades"

"......Judicial Watch Goes to Court for Details on Bill Clinton’s Travels with Sex Offender

Establishment Washington goes through a memory wipe for favored, often leftist, politicians. Bill Clinton’s record of sexual depravity and assault is verboten. Every once in a blue moon, the Big Media will remind us that he has had some problems in this area. Vanity Fair did an expose on the issue back in 2008, though more to help Barack Obama, the then-leftist favorite.

At one time or another, Judicial Watch represented many of the female victims of Bill Clinton and his enablers – like Hillary Clinton and George Stephanopoulos. So you can imagine we don’t have much patience for the joking manner of sloughing off credible allegations of rape against Bill Clinton by Juanita Broaddrick. Or the sexual assault and abuse as described by Paula Jones and Kathleen Willey. Or the terrifying threats and intimidation recounted by Dolly Kyle and Gennifer Flowers.

So we take seriously the concerns about Bill Clinton’s trips to the Caribbean hideaway of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. One question we want answered is simple: how much are taxpayers wasting on Secret Service protection for Bill Clinton’s dubious travel? Simple question, but the Obama administration is in cover-up mode for Michelle Obama’s putative successor.

So, on June 15, 2015, we filed a Freedom of Information (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to obtain records of all expenses incurred to provide “security and other services” to the former playboy president. Flight logbooks show that former President Clinton took more than a dozen flights on Epstein’s private jet. That’s what was first reported by Gawker.com. On at least one of these trips, Clinton was accompanied by four Secret Service agents.

The logbooks also show Clinton flew alongside a woman who prosecutors believe procured underage girls to service Epstein and others. We filed the FOIA lawsuit after DHS failed to comply with a January 15, 2015, FOIA request to the U.S. Secret Service, seeking the following:

Any and all records reflecting expenses incurred to provide security and/or other services to former President Bill Clinton and any companions for trips to the Caribbean island owned by Jeffrey Epstein known as Little St. James from 2001 to the present date.

The scandal involving Epstein’s Boeing 727, dubbed the “Lolita Express,” and his private Caribbean island of Little Saint James first came to light in December 2014, when Virginia Roberts – now a married, 31-year-old mother of three – filed an affidavit in a Florida federal court charging that at age 15 she was procured by socialite Ghislaine Maxwell to satisfy the sexual needs of Epstein and his friends. Flight logs show that Clinton shared Epstein’s plane with Maxwell and Sarah Kellen, Epstein’s former assistant, on at least 11 flights in 2002 and 2003.

New York Magazine reported that, in 2002, Clinton recruited Epstein to make his plane available for a week-long anti-poverty and anti-AIDS tour of Africa with Kevin Spacey, Chris Tucker, billionaire Ron Burkle and Clinton confidant Gayle Smith (who now serves on Barack Obama’s National Security Council). The logs from that trip show that Maxwell Kellen and a woman named Chauntae Davis joined the entourage for five days. Davis is a soft-core pornography movie actress, who appeared in Epstein’s address book under an entry for “massages.” Clinton allegedly severed his connections with Epstein once allegations over the millionaire sex offender’s illegal behavior surfaced and he was arrested back in 2005.

Just to show you the kind of company Bill Clinton is keeping these days, Epstein is registered as a “Tier 1” sex offender with the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Justice. He served 13 months in jail after signing a plea agreement with the U.S. government in 2008. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is said to have identified about 40 potential victims of the former investment banker. Is Bill Clinton innocent of anything inappropriate or illegal? Read closely this New York Post story and judge for yourself. Here’s a snippet:

According to Virginia Roberts, who claims to have been one of Epstein’s many teenage sex slaves, Clinton also visited Epstein’s private Caribbean retreat, known as “Orgy Island.”...."

http://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/weekly-updates/federal-judge-orders-obama-irs-to-court/#anc3

".....If there is nothing to hide in the Epstein scandal, then why is the Obama administration breaking federal transparency law rather than giving us information about his travels? That we’ve now had to go to federal court to try to get this Secret Service information speaks volumes......"

http://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/weekly-updates/federal-judge-orders-obama-irs-to-court/#anc3

(I have heard... Epstein may be the founder of Radar On-Line.)

As women wash up dead, Ohio town fears serial killer is on the loose

Chillicothe is no longer just another Rust Belt town. Now it’s the place where women go missing and wash up dead.

For years, Chillicothe, Ohio, was known as just another notch on the Rust Belt, afflicted by the same old problems of drugs, poverty and unemployment. If the town ever made national news, it was because a presidential candidate stopped by vowing to fix things, only for those promises to evaporate after Election Day.

But in the past couple of months, Chillicothe has crept back into headlines for something other than a stump speech. Something much darker. Something evil.

Chillicothe is no longer just another Rust Belt town. Now it’s the place where women go missing and wash up dead.

In little over a year, at least six women have disappeared from the town of only 21,000. Four of their bodies have been found, almost all of them dumped in creeks or streams flowing away from the town.

Interesting "study" and dialogue of posters re crimes...
Head Games. Her Story :

".....Though it may look like a relic from the mid-1990s, complete with its retro operating system and full-motion video, "Her Story" is entirely modern, playing on the voyeuristic tendencies of our social media age. It's like trying to find the truth by surveying YouTube, and it toys with a player's own assumptions and biases.

If this woman is accused of murder, why is she laughing? Should she really be volunteering to sing a song when her freedom is on the line? What does it mean that she spilled her coffee? Is she nervous? And wait a minute, that request for a lawyer seemed a tad forceful.

As entertainment, "Her Story" — inspired largely by Barlow's love of the retired NBC series "Homicide: Life on the Street" — fits somewhere between the podcast "Serial" and HBO's "True Detective." ...."

Can't find the link.

Johnny Gosch, missing paperboy, Des Moines, Iowa:
Franklin Bank (Omaha, Neb.' Boys' Town; abducted children; Washington, DC )

"....The biggest breakthrough in Johnny’s case was testimony from sex offender Paul Bonacci, jailed at the time in Lincoln.

He said he had been abducted into a child-sex ring and had himself been forced to kidnap Johnny.

Bonacci said the ring’s leader was Lawrence E. King, director of Omaha’s Franklin Credit Union.
King was convicted of embezzling millions from the credit union, but Bonacci’s sex allegations were dismissed by a grand jury as “a carefully crafted hoax.”

Despite this, Noreen still believes Bonacci’s story.

Noreen’s struggle to find answers is the film’s heart, but it’s not the whole story.

“(This film) connects to our other work because we tend to focus on a small story that is a window into a much larger story,” Galinsky said. “This isn’t an isolated story. It’s a story that represents a much bigger issue.”

For many local viewers, the film’s most poignant stretch will be when Noreen visits the family of Lyric Cook-Morrissey and Elizabeth Collins, the young cousins who went missing from Evansdale, Iowa, in July 2012. Their bodies would be found in December that year, but Noreen spoke to the family while the girls were still missing....."

(Reuters) - An infant girl was found in a car seat carrier on the side of a Maryland road and her mother has been charged with child neglect, officials said on Sunday.

Anne Arundel County Police said in a statement that the infant, who is in good condition and in the custody of social services, was found in the Baltimore-area city of Pasadena after someone called to report the baby girl late on July 4th.

Police said the mother, identified by police as 26-year-old Sandra McClary of Baltimore, came forward on Sunday after seeing reports on social media. McClary told police the father was supposed to have the baby and she did not know where the infant was.

Police said detectives later determined that she removed the baby from the car and left her on the side of the road. McClary has been charged with child neglect and reckless endangerment, police said.

Mother of 2-year-old girl found in ravine charged with killing her

PITTSBURGH - The mother of a 2-year-old girl found dead in a western Pennsylvania ravine last month has been charged with her murder.

Online court records show Allegheny County police obtained an arrest warrant Tuesday for Adriene Williams, of Wilkinsburg, on charges of criminal homicide, endangering the welfare of a child, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.

The Associated Press could not immediately locate the 26-year-old woman for comment and it wasn't immediately clear whether she was in custody.

Her 2-year-old daughter, Adrionna, was discovered dead in a neighboring suburb, Swissvale, about 40 minutes after her family reported the girl missing June 14.

The suspect had pleaded on Facebook and joined marchers several days later who called for "justice" and any leads in the case.

Adriene Williams, 27, is facing charges including criminal homicide, endangering the welfare of children, tampering with evidence and abuse of corpse after her toddler's body was found dead in a ravine.

A Pennsylvania mom who pleaded for "justice" after her toddler's body was found in a ravine has been arrested and charged with the child's death.

Adriene Williams, who reported her 3-year-old daughter missing on June 14, was arrested Tuesday on charges of criminal homicide, endangering the welfare of a child, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.

The 27-year-old single mom told police that the toddler, Adrionna Williams, likely wandered away from their Wilkinsburgh home, just outside downtown Pittsburgh, that evening.

Less than an hour later, the child's body was found dead in the neighboring suburb of Swissvale, about two miles away.

Her cause of death was asphyxiation and the manner of death homicide, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner said.

Unexpected twist in deadly San Francisco shooting

Accused gunman Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez has been at the center of a debate over a San Francisco policy that prohibits city employees from aiding immigration authorities with investigations or arrests unless it is required by law or there is an active arrest warrant. But now that a federal agent's gun was apparently used in a murder, the policy debate is being eclipsed by this unexpected twist in the crime itself, reports CBS News correspondent John Blackstone.

Over and over Tuesday, Lopez-Sanchez, an undocumented immigrant, told the judge he was "not guilty" in the shooting death of Kathryn Steinle. The 32-year-old was gunned down last week as she and her father strolled along San Francisco's waterfront. Sanchez contends he found the gun wrapped inside a t-shirt on the Pier, and it went off accidentally.

"This very well could be a completely accidental discharge of a firearm," defense attorney Matt Gonzalez said.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the gun was stolen last month in a car burglary and was the federal agent's personal weapon. Questions about the firearm were raised even before news of its use in the crime broke late Tuesday.

"Where did the gun come from? How many times was it fired? We don't have this information yet. But going forward, we will thoroughly investigate the case," San Francisco public defender Jeff Adachi said.

Sister of Vanessa Melson addresses community

GRAPELAND — The sister of Vanessa Melson has issued a statement with regard to the announcement of her sister's murder.

The eldest sister of Vanessa Melson spoke with the Palestine Herald Press on Wednesday evening, after the official announcement that the body found by Houston County law enforcement on Tuesday was indeed her sister.

In an address to the community, Brandy Mosley said: “People will believe what they want to believe, and for some reason, people always want to believe the worst. There have been things printed that aren't true, possibly just a breakdown in communication. All that really matters now, is that Vanessa was saved. The only one she has to answer to is God, and she will.”

Mosley went on to say, “To everyone else, this is the story of the week. As for us, Vanessa's family and friends, this is devastatingly our lives. After everyone moves on to the next major thing, we will still be here grieving the loss of a very special, very important, loved one.” She then noted, “Vanessa's sweet babies are with their father and, at this time they have no idea of the hard truth that their mother has been brutally murdered at the hands of an evil, heartless killer. On behalf of them, I ask that people please be respectful with their words.”

Posting anonymously online? Experts, Illinois Supreme Court ruling say identity not protected

Published: Saturday, July 11, 2015 11:02 p.m. CDT

By CHELSEA McDOUGALL - cmcdougall@shawmedia.com

A recent Illinois Supreme Court decision made one thing clear to those who think they have protection for things they say anonymously on the Internet: They don’t.

In Hadley v. Subscriber Doe, the Illinois high court last month ruled Comcast Cable Communications must identify the Internet-service subscriber who posted an anonymous message suggesting a political candidate molests children.

The Comcast subscriber, whose name still has not been revealed, commented on a 2011 article in the Freeport Journal Standard newspaper about Bill Hadley’s candidacy for the Stephenson County Board.

“Hadley is a Sandusky waiting to be exposed. Check out the view he has of Empire [Elementary School] from his front door,” wrote the commenter, who used the online name “Fuboy.” The comment was an apparent reference to former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky, who was convicted of child sex abuse in 2012.

In the case, Hadley filed a defamation lawsuit against Gatehouse Media, the newspaper’s parent company. Gatehouse provided Hadley with the Internet provider attached to the comment, and the newspaper’s involvement ended there.

News organizations are under no obligation to protect the identity of nameless commenters, legal experts say.

“It’s not like a source in a story, it’s not confidential. It’s not a confidential record,” Illinois Press Association attorney Don Craven said. “The newspaper can be compelled to turn it over. [The newspaper is] not going to spend [its] money to keep your name secret.”

Craven has represented the Northwest Herald in legal matters. He said he advises news organizations to post a disclaimer upfront about their obligations to protect one’s anonymity, of which there is none.

2 arrests in deadly Fla. home invasion; 1 still sought

SARASOTA, Fla. -- Police have reportedly made two arrests in a Florida home invasion that left a couple dead, and are still searching for a third suspect, reports CBS affiliate WTSP.

Last week, police released video of three masked gunmen who they suspect shot and killed Kantral Brooks and his girlfriend Ester Deneus in their Sarasota home early Thursday morning, the station reported.

The couple's five children, ages 1 to 11, were sleeping in the home during the murders, but were not harmed.

Early Monday, the station reports that SWAT teams from the Bradenton Police Department and the Manatee County Sheriff's Department executed search warrants at four Bradenton homes in the search for the three suspects -- Trey Nonombre, Jimmie McNear and Terez Jones.

McNear was arrested without incident, but Nonombre reportedly fled on foot but was apprehended by a K-9 unit. Both face one count of attempted home invasion and two counts of second degree murder.

Police are still on the lookout for Terez Jones. They say he's considered armed and dangerous

Witnesses describe barrage of gunfire during Chattanooga shooting

Last Updated Jul 16, 2015 1:59 PM EDT

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- A woman who says she witnessed the shooting in Chattanooga says she heard a barrage of gunfire near one of the two military facilities that were attacked.

"It was rapid fire, like pow pow pow pow, so quickly. The next thing I knew there were police cars coming from every direction," said Marilyn Hutcheson, who works at a Binswanger Glass.

Hutcheson said she ran inside, where she remained with other employees and a customer. The gunfire continued with occasional bursts she estimated for 20 minutes.

"We're apprehensive," Hutcheson said. "Not knowing what transpired, if it was a grievance or terroristic related, we just don't know."

They've seen dozens of emergency vehicles rush by: bomb teams, SWAT teams, and state, local and federal authorities. "They're all here," she said. "You name it, it's out there."

Sources told CBS News that at least two U.S. Marines and a police officer were shot. Multiple law enforcement sources say the shooter is deceased.

I agree, Freckles. This shooting breaks my heart just like the Ft Hood shooting did. Our men and women serve our country so bravely and sacrifice so much and it really angers me that they have been gunned down by extremists on our own soil. I sincerely hope the POTUS will start calling these shootings what they really are, "TERRORISM", and get serious about addressing this growing problem. I will forever be angry that the Ft Hood shootings were classified as "workplace violence". It was domestic terrorism!

There is now talk re letting servicemen carry guns on bases...
FBI should NOT be investigating this.
It belongs to the MILITARY.
There is a base commander in charge and he should be allowed to pursue justice and remediation for the base.
Base commanders have training in law, etc.. They have a life time commitment to the military.
This is much greater in knowledge than the president would even begin to scratch the surface of...

To have the FBI conduct an investigation speaks of misbehavior of gov't, IMO.
Don't strip the base of its powers...

I think that gun-free zones at military outposts and bases leave our military personnel extremely vulnerable.  We now live in a world where Islamic extremists are using social media and other means to call out for extremists to perform these "lone wolf" attacks. Scary stuff! All the while, our military is left out to be sitting ducks. Sad.

This is snipped from a daily political newsletter that I get in my e-mail everyday. Chris Stirewalt writes:

"Gun-free zones under fire - The murder of unarmed U.S. Marines in Chattanooga drew swift calls to scrap federal policy establishing gun-free zones at military facilities. The ineffectiveness of the ban, enacted during the Clinton administration, was ironically underlined by pictures at one of the shooting scenes showing a bullet-ridden front entrance displaying a sign declaring it gun-free.  The attack, which tragically recalls the 2009 Fort Hood shooting of unarmed soldiers the Obama administration termed “workplace violence”, has critics of the ban are asking: If our troops are going to be serially targeted by terrorists, as it now appears, shouldn’t they at least be able to carry side arms to protect themselves?"

And, this from presidential candidate, Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin:

" Time for a change - “…[T]he policies that prohibited our military personnel from being armed at an establishment like this…are outdated. Containment was something that might have been good during the Cold War, but we’re facing an enemy in radical Islamic terrorism that's willing to take the fight to us and we need to make sure that our men and women in uniform not only have the resources to protect us and keep our country safe, but they need to have the resources to keep themselves safe.” – Gov. Scott Walker, R-Wisc., on “The Kelly File”

Chattanooga Shooting Suspect Briefly Worked at Nuclear Power Plant

Jul 17, 2015, 6:03 PM ET

By LEE FERRAN, BRIAN ROSS, RANDY KREIDER, CHO PARK and JAMES GORDON MEEK via GOOD MORNING AMERICA

ABC US News | World News

The alleged shooter who killed four Marines in Chattanooga briefly worked at a nuclear power plant prior to the shooting, according to a spokesman for the plant.

Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez was a conditional employee at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant in Ohio but the job only lasted 10 days.

Abdulazeez, who graduated from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga with an engineering degree in 2012, worked at the plant in late May 2013.

Chattanooga shooting: Gunman's father cleared in terror funding investigation

Chattanooga, Tennessee (CNN)— The father of a man who killed four Marines in Chattanooga was investigated -- and cleared, twice -- as part of an FBI investigation into terrorism financing, law enforcement officials said Friday.

Officials stressed that Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez's father was one of many people investigated for their funding of overseas charities, especially after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Most of them were never charged with a crime.

That was the case in this instance as well. According to one official, the FBI opened and closed rather quickly an inquiry into the father, who allegedly sent money overseas in the 1990s. He became the subject of a full FBI investigation in 2002, when he told authorities the money was meant for charities, not to support a terrorist organization, a source said. That investigation was then closed.

So far, authorities haven't found any connection between Abdulazeez and any terrorist group.

But they are looking hard, as part of their efforts to figure out why this once accomplished student, well-liked peer, mixed martial arts fighter and devout Muslim became a killer who targeted a pair of military sites in the southeastern Tennessee city.

The four marines shot dead in Chattanooga have been identified including one marine who was a military hero who won a Purple Heart during two tours of Iraq and a 21-year-old who only recently signed up.

Thomas Sullivan, 41, and Skip Wells died on Thursday morning when Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez, 24, opened fire on a Marine training centre in the Tennessee city, killed alongside David Wyatt and Carson Holmquist.

Minutes earlier his silver Ford Mustang pulled up alongside a military recruiting office where he sprayed the building with bullets, riddling its glass frontage with holes.

Abdulazeez was shot dead at the scene.

Chattanooga gunman came from a middle-class Muslim family

"....Another sister, Yasmeen, drew attention at Red Bank High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for proudly wearing a traditional Muslim headscarf in class and on the volleyball court.

Yasmeen told the Chattanooga Free Press in 2010 that some students harassed her but that she wasn’t afraid to confront people about their attitudes toward her religious beliefs. “I’m not afraid to go straight toward them and ask them, ‘Do you really know what Islam is?’ ” she said. “There’s this misconception that Islam is a violent religion. Muslims are actually peaceful.”

Investigators trying to determine why a 24-year-old Kuwait-born Tennessee man gunned down four Marines are looking at his travel to Jordan last year to see whether he was in contact with extremists, reports said.

Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez opened fire on two military centers in Chattanooga on Thursday, killing the four Marines and wounding three people before dying in a shootout with police.

Authorities have said they are treating the case -- a grisly scene reminiscent of other shooting rampages at US military installations -- as one of "domestic terrorism."

The FBI has warned against jumping to conclusions about a possible motive, and said so far, there is no information directly linking Abdulazeez -- a naturalized US citizen -- to an international terror group.

Bassam Issa, president of the Islamic Society of Greater Chattanooga, told CNN that Abdulazeez had moved overseas to live with relatives about two years ago.

"My understanding is recently he had come back... and was working with a company in Nashville," Issa told CNN.

"We certainly didn't have any indication that he was a threat or that yesterday something was going to happen," Berke said.

Chattanooga, Tennessee (CNN)—U.S. Navy Petty Officer Randall Smith, wounded in a shooting rampage in Tennessee, died early Saturday, according to a family member. He is the fifth American service member killed in the attack.

Darlene Proxmire, Smith's step-grandmother, said the logistics specialist was shot in the attack at the Navy Operational Support Center in Chattanooga. It was one of two military sites in the city that were targeted by a gunman Thursday.

The U.S. Navy confirmed the death, saying Smith died at 2:17 a.m.

Smith saw the shooter and warned people around him, according to family members. But he was unable to get away. Smith was shot in the liver, colon and stomach, said his grandmother, Linda Wallace.

The girl’s body was found in a field after her parents reported her missing Friday morning.

West Valley City • Police said Friday afternoon they have a suspect in custody — a 15-year-old boy — in connection with the death of a 12-year-old girl whose body was found in a field.

West Valley City Police Chief Lee Russo said at a Friday afternoon press conference that the boy could be charged with murder.

"We are confident this is the only suspect in this case," Russo said.

Juvenile suspect in police custody after death of 12-year-old girl

By Pat Reavy
July 17th, 2015 @ 10:21pm

WEST VALLEY CITY — West Valley police say a 15-year-old boy killed a 12-year-old neighbor, Kailey Vijil, early Friday and left her body in a horse pasture.

West Valley Police Chief Lee Russo said it appeared that there was no prior relationship between the two, yet the teen somehow was able to convince the young girl to walk outside her house at midnight and go with him.

"I believe a good natured child was fooled and unfortunately made a mistake she paid the ultimate price for," Russo said.

The chief said evidence had been collected that linked the boy to the crime. Detectives were led to the teen based on information given to them by neighbors.

"He was known in the community, that's how we were able to develop these leads," he said.

12-year-old girl's body found in pasture, West Valley police make arrest

By Cimaron Neugebauer, Alex Wiles and Daniel Woodruff |Friday, July 17th 2015

(KUTV) A 15-year-old teen has been arrested as police investigate the murder of a girl in West Valley City.

Kailey Vijil, 12, was killed Friday morning and left in a field near 3600 South 5200 West, according to West Valley City Police.

Chief Lee Russo said early investigation does not indicate a prior relationship between the suspect and the 12-year-old girl. Neighbors helped to point investigators to the suspect because he was known by the community.

In a horse pasture, police found a depression in the weeds. Thirty feet away from that, they found Kailey's body.

"There were signs of trauma at the scene and there were also some signs of trauma with our victim," Chief Russo said.

Mid-day Friday, Russo announced police had identified a person of interest. By 3:00 p.m. that person -- a 15-year-old boy -- had become a suspect and was in custody.

CUTCHOGUE, N.Y. — Four women at a bachelorette party in New York wine country were killed Saturday and two others were seriously injured after a limousine was hit by a sport utility vehicle on the eastern end of Long Island, law enforcement officials said.

The limousine was leaving a winery and making a U-turn at a blinking traffic signal to head west when the pickup truck collided with it, Southold Police Chief Martin Flatley told Newsday. The driver of the pickup hit the brakes before the crash but could not stop in time, Flatley said.

He said all four people killed were women. Their names were not immediately released, but police said they were from the New York City area.

The U.S. Navy says a sailor who was shot in the attack on a military facility in Chattanooga has died, raising the death toll to five people. (AP)

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The family of the man who authorities say killed four Marines and sailor in Chattanooga said in a statement that their son suffered from depression and was not the son they knew.

"There are no words to describe our shock, horror, and grief," said the statement, provided Saturday to the Associated Press by a lawyer representing the family of Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez. "The person who committed this horrible crime was not the son we knew and loved. For many years, our son suffered from depression. It grieves us beyond belief to know that his pain found its expression in this heinous act of violence."

Chattanooga gunman talked of frequenting gun range

The gunman in Thursday's deadly rampage in Chattanooga, Tennessee, told his co-workers that he had been at a gun range as recently as last month, law enforcement sources told CBS News.

Co-workers of Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez told investigators that he said he frequented a local gun range with several friends, CBS News homeland security correspondent Jeff Pegues reports.

Abdulazeez's co-workers told investigators that he said the group shot rifles, BB guns and pistols as recently as June, Pegues reports.

4 guns seized after Chattanooga shooting, official says

Chattanooga, Tennessee (CNN)—Investigators seized four guns after Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez killed four Marines and wounded three other people at military offices in Chattanooga, a law enforcement official said.

Abdulazeez had a handgun and two long guns in his possession when police in the Tennessee city killed him Thursday, and another rifle was seized when police searched his home, the official said.

The 24-year-old engineering graduate wore a "load-bearing vest" that allowed him to carry extra ammunition, said Ed Reinhold, special agent in charge of the regional FBI office.

CBS News / July 20, 2015, 6:58 AM

Chattanooga gunman's kin encouraged his trip to Jordan

Federal investigators say they've received hundreds of leads, but they are still trying to figure out why Chattanooga shooter Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez opened fire on two military sites in Tennessee last Thursday.

A source close to the family tells CBS News Abdulazeez's parents encouraged his seven-month trip to Jordan last year because they hoped visiting relatives would help him recover from what they say was his state of depression. A government source tells CBS News that Kuwait-born Abdulazeez did not travel outside of Jordan during that visit, and he did not go to Iraq or Syria to fight or train with ISIS.

Investigators know he recently visited a public gun range and that the 24-year-old, a practicing Muslim, was pulled over in April for driving under the influence.

I knew there was something wrong with the DSM handbook.
Get a load of this!

newspaper barf

Andrew Doan, MD, PhD
AFA Reports Pedophilia Officially Classified as Sexual Orientation
We need help!!! QUICKLY!!! LORD, please forgive us!

According to the DSM-5, pedophilia “refers to a sexual orientation or profession of sexual preference devoid of consummation, whereas pedophilic disorder is defined as a compulsion and is used in reference to individuals who act on their sexuality,” NeonTommy wrote.

Because of pressures and an "error", the APA will change "sexual orientation" to " sexual interest". Regardless, this is SICK, WRONG, and NOT NATURAL to have "sexual interest" towards children even if "devoid of consummation." Following this line of reasoning, child pornography is okay now?!

Added additional information (July 14, 2015):
This was NOT a misprint!

"DSM-5 did not err in referring to Pedophilia as a sexual orientation.." - Dr. Berlin

Only with public backlash did the DSM-5 said errr.
http://www.jaapl.org/content/42/4/404.full

Additional information added on July 17, 2015 about the "Pedophilia Rights Convention in Baltimore" on August 17, 2011.

The main emphasis of the meeting was to attempt to persuade the American Psychological Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (APA DSM) to be changed, as it was in 1973 for homosexuality, to remove pedophilia as a mental disorder in order to help pedophiliacs feel accepted by the culture. Several if not all of the talks at the event had to do with declassifying pedophilia as a paraphilia from the DSM. http://my.umbc.edu/groups/truth/posts/8601

"....The president seems to truly believe that only “Black Lives Matter,” seeing as how he’s completely ignored the Steinle ordeal since talking about the murder of a white girl at the hands of an illegal from south of the border doesn’t help his agenda.

It’s sick how he cares about his progressive crusade more than doing his duty to uphold the law equally and fairly. Nothing else matters to this man but continuing to work political angles to ensure Democrats stay and power and continue the work he started of dismantling America.

Kate Steinle is dead because of an egregious failure of biblical proportions on behalf of the government as they choose to ignore the immigration laws we have on the books in order to expand the Democratic voter base...."

I think that "sexual preference" is better wording than "sexual orientation", but, IMO, pedophilia does belong in the DSM. The DSM is meant to help diagnose conditions that deviate from the norm. Pedophilia definitely deviates from the norm. The DSM is not meant to legitimize these conditions as being okay. It's purpose is to "describe" the condition.

Yes, this is becoming a predictable pattern with the POTUS. I live in a border state and the news cycle is never lacking for stories of crimes committed by illegal immigrants. I think it is easy for the rest of the nation to ignore the statistics and just accuse border states of over-reacting or over-stating the problems.  Here are a few other stories that, to the best of my knowledge, have been ignored by the White House:

Mylife,
The other day, it dawned on me why we have resumed the relations with Cuba despite many Cubans NOT wanting the resumption of any relations until better trade agreements have been reached. (Never mind the superior medical research in Cuba...not funded by Big Pharm.)
Our border with Canada: Not secure
Our border with Mexico (and other Latin America countries): Not secure
Our border on the Pacific Ocean: Not secure

Now we are opening the door to the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean for portals to America... for illegals and that proverbial pie-in-the-sky One World Global Nation started during the Woodrow Wilson era and leading to the Untied Nations governing concepts. (Truthfully, the management of anything in this world is totally man-made with all his silliness... He just is not as good or as patient with the world's developments as the God has been.)

Secure ALL the borders from sea to shinning sea.
