Me too Sherry....how can she laugh? How can Baez laugh? Do they not realize there is a small child who lost her life and rotted away in the woods? I mean, really? Have they forgotten what this trial is about? Grrrr.....
Exactly, Lottie! Casey Anthony is like a female Drew Peterson! Ugh! Hope she goes down like Scott Peterson!

Oh God! Drew Peterson....I forgot about him...and you're right, she acts just like him...all funny his wife was missing.
I hope the prosecution is able to bring Caylee's plight back into this case. Her name hasn't even been mentioned during jury selection...will her name be allowed to be mentioned at trial?

I hope so, Lottie, I really hope so! And may her name be spoken many, many times, too.

I'm sure every witness for the state will say Caylee as many times as they can. I just hope they don't add the Marie part. I don't want to associate her with KC or CA.
Lee will probably call her CMA when he is on the stand.

I am fearful the defense will object to using Caylee's name....they want to dehumanize her as much as possible, and they want to remove any sense of emotion and sympathy for a child being murdered and make like Casey is just being accused of killing some inanimate object.

I just know at my ex-SIL's trial, every witness said Kim's name when on the stand. They never said the deceased, or the victim, they called her by name. Even the detective that investigated the case said, 'Kim told me she knew she was dying because she was not in any pain, and wanted me to make sure her kids were taken to her mom.'
Every witness made sure the jury knew this was a real person that was murdered.

I hope they do that for Caylee, mama...well, heck I guess they have to if they ask people when they last saw her. Yay! I feel better already. I just hate that Baez so much and of course Casey....I even hate George and Cindy. I don't trust any of them to feel for Caylee and what she must have gone through. Since this happened every time I see a little girl Caylee's age holding her mommy's hand at the store I get leaky eyed.

OMG Lottie, I know exactly what you mean. I had a guest today and I was reading the latest on this thread when he came by and he wanted to know what I was reading. He knew nothing about this case, and as I was telling him the highlights, I couldn't talk I was so chocked up. I let him watch the video and he too got teary eyed.

Dear Heavenly Father our Lord, please give strength and the peace of Jesus alseep in his disciple's boat, that afternoon fishing, when Jesus was supposed to be awake and helping. However, Lord, Jesus, God love him, was asleep. Lazy kid!!! 8o)
Lord we ask now that you heal and dissipate any pain or ill health in any of the people that log on to RealityChatter.com. Take for example, eva's best buddy Julie. Sure some days eva might throw Julie to the dogs! But you know what? eva always prayed for Julie to feel happy!

well... a big fond hello again to all my fellow chatterers...
ive been a lurker now for a while and thought now that the painful jury selection process is over, i should throw my humble opinion out there.
that process was the BIGGEST cluster mess i have ever been witness to in a court of law.. i know there were MANY appelate issues created by the format alone, and i pray that JP has not shot this trial in the foot before it even gets off the ground, but i fear that just may be the case. Seat # 4 is the biggest ??wtf?? moment of them all.
So its time now to batten down the hatches and pull those belts tight, as this is going to be a rollercoaster/circus all rolled into one... praying that justice for caylee will prevail above all else.

It's good to hear from you Randi. I really hope JP knows what he is doing. I would've liked him to go with 8 alternates considering the trial is supposed to take two months. JP seemed worried that letting the jurors smell the trunk samples would cause the case to come back on appeal, but then he rushed through jury selection which may cause some appellate issues as you pointed out. He tried to swear in the first 12 before any alternates were selected and forced the attorneys to use many of their peremptory challenges early. Also, an expert on HLN said a cautious Judge will normally grant the defense an additional peremptory challenge, but JP denied Baez's request for one. We will probably see an appeal no matter what, but I'd hate to see the defense have a legitimate reason for an appeal.
I agree with you about Juror 4 being the biggest WTF moment. I don't believe the state's challenge had anything to do with race. She has problems judging people and didn't seem to comprehend many of the attorneys' questions very well, so I don't know how she is supposed to comprehend all the information that is going to be thrown at her during the trial. Baez almost seemed ecstatic while questioning her. I hope she doesn't cause a mistrial like many people fear she will.

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. -- A woman's outburst inside the Pinellas County courtroom caused an issue on Day 11 of Casey Anthony's murder trial on Friday.
"She killed somebody anyways!" the woman yelled out.
The woman was quickly escorted out of the courtroom by a deputy and asked, "Am I going to be arrested?"
The woman's outburst clearly bothered Casey as she nodded her head and whispered something to her attorney.
The woman was escorted back into the courtroom to face Judge Perry.
She broke down and cried while explaining to Perry that she is bi-polar. Perry, however, told her that she was in contempt of court due to her outburst.
"I will find that you are in contempt of court," said Perry.
Perry sentenced Elizabeth Anne Rogers to two days in the Pinellas County jail. Perry told Rogers that she could have faced 179 days in jail.

I saw this post at WS, and thought it was interesting.
(Post #25):
I posted on the other thread that I had volume up and heard KC say "that is why I said these proceedings should be closed" - "it should not be open to the public, should be closed like I said," then she says "I am fine just fine"

Julie - I got the impression that the woman's outburst didn't shake Casey in the least. So the above statement doesn't surprise me! Remember, according to the George ~ she's in charge and knows what's best!!!!

Piper, I heard pretty much the same thing, that the outburst didn't shake her. To Casey, it's all about her, and it shows.
