Said he gives books to help with therapy.
Then he said it is just to start them with therapy.
He would give assignments from the books.
For evaluative, he would sometimes give books...

Ducky: Said he does not recall saying JA was suicidal when her gave her the book!!!
JM: Is refreshing Ducky's mind...

Wilmott does a speaking objection to manner JM is questioning Ducky. Sidebar.

reminds Ducky he had said he did not know WHO to peport it to; Ducky said it was a different jail;Ducky is asking for the transcript; JM is asking if Ducky knows how to report it at the jail; Ducky just confused two jails!

I can only say from my experience in the jail by me, suicide watch depends on the detainee. If they are suicidal, they are placed on suicide watch. Every 15 minutes they are observed by correction deputy or medical depending where they are. In extreme cases, they are allowed their jail uniform but put on a mattress in front of the control room for constant surveillance. how long they remain that way depends on what the Dr. decides. Many times, it is a crisis situation will will resolve in a relatively short period of time. Others, well, maybe not. It is a very individual thing.

Long Beach DOES have a strong community "well being" program. Awesome community for raising a family, residing, etc.. Very involved. Lot of volunteers.

No doubt...boring getting all the "credible" professional stuff out of the way. I sense that she is going to come across as much more credible than Ducky. Still don't think it will be enough to convince the jury that she is an abuse victim who can't help herself from returning to the abuser...not after all of the assertive and aggressive behavior that other testimony has revealed. Your thoughts?
