Re: Jodi Arias--Trial for the murder of Travis Alexander #12
the articles talk about AL being a victim of cyber bullying and it causing her to go to the ER for stress related symptoms, etc... And some "lawyers & etc." even went to witness tampering and could be cause for a mistrial... I think for as long as she's been on the stand the damage is done and she kept testifing... I guess some people push thru the abuse and keep at the behavior they're use too... Notice that the attacks on her didn't start till she commited herself to JA could do no wrong and TA is a bastard and wouldn't budge on that idea even after admitting that she was only allowed to review certain materials to come to her conclusion mixed with 44 hours with a known/confessed liar... People think she's a fraud and bias and are calling her out on it... I think her work called the police for a call they thought was a serious threat... Do I think anyone is going to do anything to AL? Hell know, if that were the case then CA would have been dead the day she walked out of jail... People are venting and it's not stopping her from testifing, she's still giving JM a hard way to go... I'm sure Amazon if they wanted could delete all the case related reviews on her book and why does this thing cost $106.00? WTH?

I wonder since AL refuses to say TA was "stalked" is there a more fitting word she would like to use but doesn't want to tell JM? Ok she says JA was drawn back to TA after all the "bs" he put her thru and you can't say that TA was drawn to JA's whoha after everything she put him thru? Sex was knew to TA, he admits that on the sex tape but I guess his spoken word, like his written isn't good enough to take him into account... She makes it sound like TA had no feelings and if he did they were irrelavant... there has to be a 'diagnosis' / title / category that fits TA that isn't abuser in her professional opinion... What if she was given the same situation and the gender roles were reversed?

I think where the dteam really screwed up was letting JA ramble on the stand for so long and not filtering what she said... I get with SD she kinda had to talk and for Dr. S and AL she had to set the stage for them but like Mark E. on Dr. D says use pointed questions to get a specific answer. Cross can only be on what was covered in direct, keep it short and sweet. All the rambling caged that rat... I'm not complaining but those that can't control the big things nit-pick the small stuff and busting on JM, HLN, etc. mistrial, mistrial, mistrial... c'mon... I think the way she's held herself in court shows the jury she really is incapable of having a true emotion, she is detached and doesn't care...

oh so people writing their outrage over how she has chosen to testify in this case on the book review thing on amazon are now cyber bullies? Had to go to hospital for stress related symptoms? Good God almighty hows about the stress her words on that stand are causing for the family of Travis Alexander? Member him Alice? he is the real VICTIM in this case! well carla... according to AL: TA deserved to feel like a dildo with a heartbeat because he was a womanizer and brought it on himself. So with that logic by not giving into JA's every whim then he deserved to die because he wasn't worthly... I'm kind of skimming her testimony, it's too hard to listen too and i can only really catch the morning and some evening... I've come to this... she may have men in her group but she's turned them into puss%s if they think a man venting to an overbearing ex-gf is a horrible person, she is very bias and JA can do no wrong, she doesn't really trust men and thinks they're genetically predisposed to abuse like it's balding...

auman I say let's bump it to torture because AL obviously doesn't know what she's talking about... That would be out of her realm and we'd be safe... what a joke...

well you have obviously seen enough of her testimony to get the gist of it because she has made it crystal clear that an unattached man who has the gall to TALK to several women and sends a couple angry messages to the one he occassionly enjoys sexual romps with deserved to die. Ya know I dont see it as controlling when he dissaproved of certain men she was talking to or questioned who she was sleeping with..hey nobody wants a flippin STD now do they?

I'm normally a peaceful guy, but when I see this snarky b_tch talking about being abused I just want to show her what real abuse is all about.....personally.
Wooden spoon? She never had to face my dad and his belt. My grandmother used a razor strop, switches, bare hand, etc. and it was all deserved. We grew up just fine without butchering anyone.......so far.

Re: Jodi Arias--Trial for the murder of Travis Alexander #12
It really infuriated me yesterday when Juan was asking her about wether she considered it stalking behaviour when Jodi went over and peeped in Travis window and watched him make out with I think it was Lisa. Her first answer was of course a non answer.."well she tried to go in thru the garage door first" OMG as if THAT made her sound any better! Travis was not her boyfriend anymore yet it is perfectly ok with Alice that chica attempted to just let herself into his home unannounced and when she couldn't do that she stands outside a window and stares at him. She did not just turn and walk away upon seeing him and the girl making out and we know this because she gave details of him unhooking a bra and the damn tv being on..she stared like creepy stalker fruitcakes do!

at the age of 12 I heard the f word for the first time at school..said it to my mother shortly after that and was immedietly backhanded which caused me to fall down some stairs..now I do believe if I was to of told only that lil tale to AL she would immedietly diagnose me as having been an abused child but since it is my life..I lived it and know better than anyone.. I can say for a fact I was NOT abused physically by my parents! neither was Jodi Arias IMHO

There's a big difference between discipline and abuse.

My mom had the "look" and you didn't cross her... we got spanked every now and then, one time I stuck a Dr. Suess book down my pants to cushion it not thinking she'd notice my butt grew corners... lol I got in more trouble for that because she thought i was trying to hurt her hand... lol

I think kids are so screwed up now because the don't get disciplined. And if you try they'll say well I'll tell that you abused me... So they get a sense of power over their parents and do what they want... I was told I'm Nazi strict, whatever that is... I've only smacked my girls' hands when there were toddlers to teach them NO... They were good babies / kids... With one of them wish I could spank her now sometimes... lol

I would lose it if AL is asked a juror question and avoids it with a non-answer and they put in another question form saying you avoiding answering my question so I'll try again and state the question... lol

in one of the police interrogations Jodi says she had a great childhood... Mom in her interview says that Jodi for some unknown reason wants to think she had a terrible childhood.. to many contradictions for me to grasp...
k well I lied...
I know they are trying to save the little from getting a needle
but I also know she is a little the needs to be given a taste of her own medicine.. the needle is too good..

Unfortunately her answers can ramble on and on until JM crosses her on her answers so get ready for more AL oratory.

auman, not sure where you're located but there is an Ikea commercial that the mom puts the boy in timeout in the kitchen and he starts beating the crap out of the cabinets, slamming the drawers, running his little sit on car into the wood and it survived all of his abuse... The fact that this kid was so destructive at a young age (if it were real and not an ad) I'd say therapy maybe... lol If you act like that in timeout what did you do to be put there? lol

I think JA's childhood was fine... I think there are times we all experienced when we get mad or think it's unfair but when we get older we look back and understand why at 14 we can't grow pot in mom's tupperware...lol I think JA knows that people think she's off and with everything else she can't admit that it's her so shifts the blame on to someone she knows that some people might believe could have treated her bad and caused this defect in her...

can tell you that when that is the behaviour in time-out (personally lived through that) then what caused it was really much worse.. there are somethings that just require more than a time out
for instance... being 6/7 and stealing the car and driving in traffic.. timeout doesn't cut it for that!!

my girls are 27 and 19..the elder one was my problem child..name it she did it but I can count on one hand how many times I spanked her and the youngest only once.I used the time out method on both and I took away what I considered to be privileges and OMG that included TOYS. When she was 3 the oldest thought it was the funniest thing in the world to run off and hide from me in the mall. I bought a child harness after the third incident and despite the looks other people gave me I used it til she finally understood holding mommys hand wasnt so bad after all.

OMG I went to the Amazon site and read some of the reviews of ALV's book. Quite good. There are many many people who say the same things as RC members do. It made me feel good that so many people feel this way. It gave me more hope that the jury does too.

I take away privileges... I pay the cell phone bill... I teach them unless it's required by law (food, shelter, etc) you don't need it so you earn the right... the little chores around the house is how you contribute to paying your cell bill, no chores then no phone... when they were little I took their toys away and they dressed up bowling pins and used them as dolls... My mom said i'd do the same thing, couldn't really punish me because i'd find something else to do... lol

I have and dont find it funny at all cuz she tells the kid he is on time out and walks out of the room..time out only works if the child is actually supervised. This is the reason so many do say time out dont work..its not the strategy that dont work..it's uninvolved parents

She has the mentality of an alcoholic or drug addict. Everything bad in her life is someone else's fault. These shrinks are lying their butts off, they know she's highly unstable. How could you possibly be associated with assisting this "thing" to walk the streets among us? I wonder if AL would have a problem with her son dating/marrying JA?

I have been following along and enjoying all of your insightful comments for several weeks and wanted to give a quick thanks.
I think one of the most interesting parts of the trial is just ahead of us. The jury questions for ALV should be pure gold and I understand that there are tons of them piling up. My guess is that after seeing these inquiries ALV might view her recent conversation with JM as a tea party.

Remember how Baez said we'll have an "ah-ha" moment... I'm waiting for JM's "ta-da" moment... when he shows the jury that the dteams entire case was a magicians oldest trick of smoke and mirrors to divert your attention from the matter at hand. At the moment of the initial strike did JA carry out her premed plan to kill TA but his fighting back made it a huge mess or was she defending herself? that's all that matters, you can' try and excuse away everything but it comes down to 1 question...

People on FB keep saying that AL was like the 11th or 12th expert the Dt approached that finally said yes to come on the team... Anybody know if that is true and how would they even know that info?

exactly! NOTHING the defense has intraduced has delt with the issue at hand..PREMEDITATION! It does not matter if Travis was a controlling;womanizer with anger issues..hell it dont even matter if he was into kids..the fact THESE ISSUES are what the defense has chosen to shove down our throats repeatedly only shows Jodi may of actually had MOTIVE to want to kill him! IDIOTS all that any of em have done is given the jury a different motive for premed murder than the prosecutor has. Unflippinbelievable IMHO

I think it came out when the media requested info about the financial situation...member Dteam filed a motion to have this info denied to the press than when it wasnt they filed a motion for mistrial based upon the prosecution giving the info over to the press.

gotta add even the dang "fictional" journal could be used to show that..she didnt write bad stuff in it perhaps because had she of it could be used to show MOTIVE..
here is the deal..if someone is abusing you and you choose not to tell anyone or make any sort of written record of it via journals;pictures of bruising;medical records or police reports than you should not be at all suprised to find yourself sitting in jail possible facing the death penalty after ya have had enough and kill the one who's been hurting ya. that is REALITY folks..without evidence of some kind your word ALONE aint gonna matter a tinkers damn once you take someones life..least it shouldnt.

Re: Jodi Arias--Trial for the murder of Travis Alexander #12
thinking about this... JA's twitter when she talked about JM having little man syndrome... You'd think someone as 'smart' as her would know that it's usually called a "Napoleon Complex", you know like the dog that had sit in the house for a week knowing his owner was dead upstairs and couldn't tell anyone, the dog that could probably smell what everyone else couldn't... Yeah, NAPOLEON!!!
I had a cat named that, had to put him down last year ... I found him, brother and mother living under my heat pump so I brought them in my laundry room to keep them away from my other cats... He was so small compared to his bro and mean, he'd hiss, spit, and swat at you... So I thought Napoleon was fitting, had to put on a big show because of his size... He grew up into a big boy and was sooo lovey...

Bmore wrote:the articles talk about AL being a victim of cyber bullying and it causing her to go to the ER for stress related symptoms, etc... WTH?
Your post made me curious enough to check out her book and reviews on Amazon. Wow, the reviews are brutal as a result LA's BS testimony. I also notice that Alyce LaViolette is only a co-author of this book, It Could Happen To Anyone: Why Battered Women Stay [Hardcover]
Alyce D. LaViolette (Author), Ola W. Barnett (Author)
Clipped~ About the Author
Ola W. Barnett is a Distinguished Professor Emerita of Psychology at Pepperdine University, Malibu, California. She earned her undergraduate and doctoral degrees in Psychology at UCLA, specializing in Learning. Her initial research centered on batterers, and she later studied battered women and dating violence. She has coauthored two best-selling Sage books (with Alyce D. LaViolette) on why battered women stay with abusive partners. These books provide a scientific explanation, grounded in learning theory, for understanding the obstacles battered women face in trying to break free. She remains active in the field of family violence by reviewing articles for a large number of journals and performing as an external grant reviewer for a few organizations. She serves on the editorial board of the new journal, Youth Violence and Juvenile Justice. She also continues research on the impact of transitional housing on the lives of battered women.

I hope the other author, Ola W. Barnett, sues the crap out of AL for testifying for JA and totally discrediting this co-authored book and likely plummeting sales of the book.

Insight into the Hughes. This letter from Chris Hughes is from http://mixedbagblog.com/2013/04/07/nurmi-deceives-chris-hughes/
and might help explain why they were initially on the defense witness list, and no longer are.
I feel sorry for them. They loved Travis too. They are victims of Jodi's lies, but what is even more shameful is that they were victims of blatant lies told to them by HER DEFENSE TEAM.

Chris Hughes The State vs Jodi Arias ~ Travis Alexander murder trial
February 9 at 2:28am · "..OK, so I have been pretty quiet through this trial…so far. We have decided to not do any media until after the trial is over. We had no idea how hard that commitment would be to keep as we had underestimated the attack that would be made on Travis. But we made it, so we will keep it. That said, there are a few things I need to clear up that are floating around on the net…..
IT (Jodi), being IT, came up with a whole new set of lies in 2010. Lies, I would imagine, she is going to try to work into this trial, as she fights for her life. I didn’t think she would attempt to do this as there is no evidence as to the validity of these claims. There are only letters conjured by IT that were thrown out of court and deemed “fraudulent.” I just figured she, and everyone on her team, had given up on these ridiculous claims until I read the posts below:
“It also makes you wonder just how much Chris & Sky Hughes really knew about TA’s child addiction (and the physical/verbal abuse he inflicted upon Jodi in private). Remember Sky’s initial reaction to one of TA’s letters too, where she specifically referenced TA’s age of attraction?” and “(& subsequent cover-up of TA’s abuse & child porn-related issues) by Chris & Sky Hughes.”
UNBELIEVABLE! Are people really this delusional? This info is from fake letters…too fake even for the National Enquirer to run with! That is saying something! Some of you heard me call Nurmi a liar. It was related to these claims. He had LIED to my wife. He emailed her a letter, telling her it was “100% verified to be Travis’ writing” and that there was “irrefutable evidence” backing up these claims. #1- It’s near impossible to verify something 100%. AND it is absolutely impossible to even come close if there is no original (which we later found there is not). #2- There is no, and never has been “irrefutable evidence” to back up these claims. He totally lied! Sky’s reaction to what Nurmi sent her had ZERO to do with Travis and his character, and EVERYTHING to do with Nurmi’s lies and manipulative tactics and her experiences working with sexually abused kids. The ONLY reason Sky even went there, as far as Travis was concerned, was because Nurmi told her there was “irrefutable evidence,” and to us, the only thing irrefutable would be video tapes. We had NO IDEA that it was legal for the defense attorney to lie about evidence to try to sway someone’s testimony (we had been subpoenaed to testify in a hearing the following week). Unbelievably unethical in my opinion.
I just wanted everyone to be aware of this, because I’m guessing Jodi, being the shamelessly evil person she is, is going to make these asinine claims! Here is what we know about Jodi… and it is truly “irrefutable.” Jodi lies…and lies… and lies… it’s just what she does, and who she is. She has done it from the beginning, and we can expect more of it until this trial is over. To expect anything other than lies from Jodi would be naive at best. Travis is not, and never has been, a pedophile. And only the most despicable of human beings would accuse someone of being such, knowing they are not. There is nothing worse."

Re: Jodi Arias--Trial for the murder of Travis Alexander #12
I wonder if what JM seized from JA's cell was her manifesto... the little books that were going to tell how, and why (motive) for Jodi... the one that was going to make her famous.. just a thought!
If it was/is is it enough to introduce it in rebuttal since he asked AL about them/it???
Inquiring minds are wondering and want to know... can't wait for rebuttal. MOO MOO MOO
