William Parsons: Sandy, Casey Parsons don’t have permission to sell house

According to the Rowan County Register of Deeds, Sandy’s father, William Steven Parsons, of China Grove, owns the property at 218 Miller Chapel Road. William Parsons told a Post reporter he did not give his son and daughter-in-law permission to put the house up for sale.

William Parsons bought the home in April 2011. The home had gone into foreclosure in October 2010.

He said he doesn’t know why his son and daughter-in-law would put a for sale sign on the front lawn of the property, but was aware of it.

“They can’t sell the house,” he said.

Parsons said he has no immediate plans to sell the house, but he may rent it.

Sandy and Casey have reportedly moved to Fayetteville. Sandy Parsons was seen Monday with a family member moving yard pavers.

Adoptive parents of Erica Parsons face "legal quagmire" if they try to sell house

But Casey Parsons that they do have the right to sell the house.  In a phone conversation with WBTV's David Whisenant, Parsons said that the parents of her husband, Sandy Parsons, are forcing them out of the house.

"They're trying to be so mean," Parsons said.  "We have the paper.  We're the ones that did the work, put the well down, put the air conditioning unit in, we have thousands in that house."

Casey Parsons says she has a contract proving that she and her husband had been in an agreement to purchase the house from William Parsons, but that in August their checks were refused.

"I'm so tired of all these people accusing us of lies," Parsons told WBTV.  "I want to be able to prove one time and we do have the right to sell this house."

An attorney not involved with the case told WBTV that it is possible that Sandy and Casey Parsons were paying rent to William Parsons and perhaps believed that they were renting to own the property.  Even so, the attorney said, they cannot legally sell the property.

Investigators ask for patience in Erica Parsons case

Officials are asking the public to be patient as they continue to investigate the disappearance of Erica Parsons.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office released a statement Friday afternoon that said local, state and federal investigators continue to work “night and day” to locate Erica.

“The goal of any investigation is to determine if a crime has been committed … If so, build a case on each and every law violated and gather the evidence needed for a positive prosecutory outcome at trial,” the sheriff’s office said in the statement.

“There are many layers to investigations and it can take time to thoroughly cover and exhaust each lead and each level … police investigations are not as clear-cut as they may seem to the public and should not be judged based on a timeline or ‘quick arrests or charges.’”

These people are unreal...so dismissive of everyone! Erica she is fine, she is somewhere, oh brother who reports her missing is looking for revenge, they want their stuff back (how about wanting Erica back maybe that is what they should be pleading for) and bad person whose name is actually on the title of the house is ripping them off and they can sell it anyway! Really?? 

Curious yes everything points to them saying very clearly we know she is not coming back.

Casey then went on to explain a hammer taken by investigators that had red marks on it.

“You all probably don’t even know this, it was rodent blood where somebody hit a mouse in the field,” she said.

The search warrant also indicated investigators took magazines and books about JonBenet Ramsey, the young Colorado girl who was murdered in her home several years ago.

Casey denied she had JonBenet Ramsey magazines.

“I had her book. I didn’t know it was against the law to buy her book,” she said.

According to the paperwork filed by Sandy Parsons' father and step-mother Wednesday in Rowan County, the couple owes their landlords more than $25,000.

The complaint states the Parsonses failed to pay rent for the months of July forward, breached lease conditions, and states "criminal or other activity has occurred in violation of G.S. 42-63".

In explaining the criminal or other activity, the complainant cites removal of property from the premises (such as fencing, landscaping, bricks, air conditioner and boarded windows), unpaid property taxes in the amount of $982.12, abandonment of the property and failure to pay good faith money in the amount of $4739.68.

SALISBURY, N.C. -- It was a busy morning for the Parsons family.

Sandy and Casey, Erica’s adoptive parents, were in court fighting to get custody back of their two youngest children.

Two of their older kids, daughter Brook and son Sandy, who serves in the military, were there to support their parents.

Both sides agreed to a continuation in the hearing, saying there was too much evidence in the case and they needed more time. A hearing will likely now take place in late October. In the mean time, the two younger children will stay with Casey’s mom.

There are new allegations surrounding the mystery of missing teen Erica Parsons. The teen's adoptive mother, Casey, came out swinging in an exclusive interview with WBTV's David Spunt.

She's now alleging that Erica's biological mother Carolyn Parsons may have something to do with the teen's disappearance.

"Carolyn is the key," she said.

Following Casey's allegations, WBTV spoke to an angry Carolyn on the phone from her home in Louisiana.

"You need to be a mommy and not a psycho. I do not know "Nan." I do not know Irene. They are made up names out of Casey and Sandy parsons' mouth," Carolyn said.

Parsons give fingerprints, speak with investigators

SALISBURY —After a brief court appearance Thursday, Casey and Sandy Parsons met with the FBI and local investigators, the couple’s attorney said.

They also had their fingerprints taken.

“They’re voluntarily doing that,” said attorney Carlyle Sherrill. “Back early in the case, search warrants were issued and items of property were picked up from their house.”

A hearing involving the custody of Sandy and Casey Parsons’ two youngest children has been continued for at least a month. Sherrill said he doesn’t know why the hearing was continued, and he doesn’t represent them in that case.

After a pre-trial meeting with attorneys in juvenile court Thursday morning, Judge Beth Dixon agreed to tentative dates of Oct. 24 and 25 for the multi-day hearing. Those dates may change depending on the court calendar.

Curious that woman makes my blood boil and my skin crawl... the video of the mother of one of those POS saying that Erica is still alive is haunting me... she also is in lala land. There are so many red flags in this case that people would have to be blind not to see that Casey is attempting to shoot her mouth off like a machine gun to distract everyone. I really hope that LE can gather enough evidence to charge these people. Erica suffered at the hands of these "parents" (term used very loosely)

As well as it should be!! IMO any family that can adopt a child and then just say see yah later.. we are moving... selling and going should have all parental rights stripped from them... even IF she is still alive and didn't want contact... they should still be contacting whom ever they entrusted to care for her and making certain that she didn't need anything. ESPECIALLY since they were still collecting money for her. I still have contact with the people who purchased pups from me... not to mention a Child! I mean holy crap who are these people?

Channel 9 received police logs that shed light on missing 15-year-old Erica Parsons' case.

The log is from Rowan County communications and details the calls surrounding the day the 15-year-old was reported missing.

Some of the calls regard domestic disputes but the first day that caught Channel 9's interest was July 29.

On that night around 11:50 p.m, the report states that a deputy should see Scott Parsons, who is Erica's uncle, in the Salisbury police department lobby about a "kidnapping and homicide."

(July 30) "About an hour later around 7 p.m., an entry was made in the 911 report, saying, "A deputy went to the house with a DSS agent and assisted with an interview with the father there who 'acted as if he did not know any information on the whereabouts of the 16-year-old girl in question.'"

The log goes on to say the father said his wife had all the information on her and she was at a Jonas Brothers concert and would be home later.

The above article just makes me furious!  They can "now fully focus on finding Erica"?  Seriously?  So everything else was more important for the past 3 months since she was reported missing (not to mention they haven't looked for her for two years) but now they've decided they should start looking for her?  How do they expect us to believe they are going to try find "Nan"?  They have no phone number, no address, no contact info whatsoever...and they've been told by LE that Nan doesn't exist.  What are they going to do?  Drive to where they supposedly dropped her off and hang out there?  I thought this story was unbelievable before, but this is unreal!  They've done nothing to help LE find her, and have all along been saying that it's not a problem; she's not even missing.

I sure hope LE/FBI is keeping a close eye on them, as this sounds to me like a ploy for them to disappear.  Just sayin'...

I wish these persons who say they have been searching or they will be searching would be required to submit an itinerary of exactly where and when they searched and name of others in said search party. Fed up with this "trust in me" attitude. I DON"T trust them and their statements are phoney---- designed to manipulate others into believing something they have NO intentions of delivering on!!

Puts me in a rather foul mood, I will say.

I'm curious though about the grandfather evicting them and is in clean up rehab mode of where they lived. Has LE been able to go in there and search that place to see what they can find in trace evidence?

Casey has been blaming Caroline for a while now, which is interesting, considering she emailed Caroline as recently as March 2013 that Erica was doing well.  So her story doesn't jive no matter how you look at it.  I was reading at WS last night, and they all think Caroline should get a restraining order against Casey and Sandy.  I hope she does that!

LE has already searched that home, but it wouldn't surprise me if they went back in.  Someone needs to check that sealed fireplace that was shown in the photos I posted higher up in this thread.

Rowan County Emergency Services said they are turning over evidence to the FBI after a fire at the former home of Erica Parsons.

Sandy's father William Parsons owns the home and was there when the fire started.

"I couldn't stop it," said William Parsons.

"I heard something cracking and I went back up in the house and the microwave was on fire," said William Parsons.

SALISBURY, N.C. -- Investigators say a fire that damaged part of missing Rowan County teenager Erica Parsons’ family home might not be accidental. They now plan to test fire debris to help determine the official cause.

ATF, FBI, firefighters and other investigators returned to the house on Miller Chapel Road Thursday afternoon for a second look at the microwave and the wiring in and around it.

A source familiar with the events confirms the second look at the house is also due to a member of the Parsons family bragging about being able to start a house fire with a microwave.

What I noticed from reading the awesome timeline at acandyrose and reading everything I can get my hands on about Erica is her adopted parents have nothing nice to say about her. Nothing. No good memories, no fond words, nothing like her biological mother who was shunned by a sock-puppet, wearing her daughter's name.

That's the part that wenches my heart - someone went an extra step of cruel and told a mother who actually did give a fig and wanted to be part of her daughter's life to 'fack off' (not those exact words - it's a good summary of those messages to Carolyn from "Erica" though) while wearing her daughter's name. There's no chance that those messages were written by Erica - especially with her alleged 'severe learning disabilities. It takes a heartless person to play those sort of games though even heartless people should know that if you play those games, you run the risk at losing everything. Golly gee, look who has lost their children and their home? Will they ever think that it may be karma biting them in the jugular? Why no, of course not. It's always someone else's fault, always.  

I also find it interesting that first William Parsons says that they have to re-do the kitchen. Then the kitchen magically sets itself on fire while he's there, 'working' on the house a day later? Least I assume the fire was in the kitchen - that's where microwaves are generally found in domiciles, after all. Coincidence after coincidence after coincidence after coincidence.

It's all about the money.  At least that's what investigators are still working to establish in the case of a Rowan County teenager who has been missing since November of 2011.

Sources close to the investigation into the disappearance of 15-year-old Erica Lynn Parsons have told WBTV that among the charges they are looking at in the case would be obtaining property by false pretenses.  Those charges could be brought against Erica's adoptive parents, Sandy and Casey Parsons.

As the current investigation continued, on August 12, 2013, the SBI learned from BB&T on Jake Alexander Boulevard in Salisbury that Casey and Sandy Parsons had accounts at the bank that included recent activity.  The FBI also found records through the PayPal accounts of Sandy and Casey Parsons that they had financial accounts with SunTrust Bank on W. Innes Street, Salisbury,  Wells Fargo on S. Main Street in Salisbury, and Bank of America on W. Innes Street, Salisbury.

The SBI believes that "the continued desire to utilize the funds, proceeds, or financial assistance intended for the care and benefit of Erica Lynn Parsons resulted in the delay or outright denial to report Erica Lynn Parsons missing in a timely or reasonable time frame."  The SBI concluded that "this institutes probable cause to believe a crime, obtaining property by false pretenses, has occurred."

How Sandy and Casey Parsons earned an income then, as well as now, is not clear.  A now defunct website for Parsons Kennel until recently advertised dogs and hedgehogs for sale.  A statement on the site described the kennel as family operated and said that the animals lived in the house with the Parsons instead of in cages.

Sandy Parsons told WBTV that he had worked as a butcher at a Food Lion in Spencer.  When knives wrapped in plastic were found during one of the property searches, Parsons told WBTV that they were his and that they were the kind of thing any butcher would possess.

The search of the home where Erica lived with her adoptive parents on Miller Chapel Road centered on an area next to a garage at the rear of the property.  It is the spot, neighbors say, where Sandy Parsons had a cast iron stove that he frequently used to burn debris.

I guess the Parsons missed the part of the adoption website that says:  

"Other arrangements may include support in establishing a separate living arrangement by paying rent or utilities, or purchasing necessary items for the child's new living arrangement. Often these arrangements prove to be temporary and the child returns to the adoptive family. Even if the arrangements continue, the adoptive parents are providing for the needs of the child in a manner that works for the family."

They don't seem to get that that money is for Erica, not them.  If there truly were a Nan or someone that they had given Erica to, they were supposed to pass that money on for her living expenses; not keep it for themselves.

These two are unreal!
